Punggol Golf Driving Range at 60 Punggol East, Singapore 828825 remains one of Punggol’s most useful specialist sports facilities in 2026. It is not only a row of hitting bays: the current Golfer.Sg operation combines range practice, professional coaching, junior programmes, proficiency/handicap pathways, club services and late-night practice hours.
The range is currently managed by Poh Bros. Golf Management / Golfer.Sg. Its official site lists long operating hours—up to 12.30am on most weekdays and 1am on Friday–Sunday/public holidays—making it one of the latest-operating sports facilities in Punggol.
This guide explains the current 2026 range rates, hours, beginner route, lessons, junior golf, late-night practice and how the range fits into the wider Punggol East leisure cluster.

How the ball dispensers work
The current operator says range balls can be purchased directly at dispensers using:
- NETS CashCard;
- NETS FlashPay;
- PayNow.
This makes casual practice possible without going through a long reception process every visit.
Is the range suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Golfer.Sg currently markets beginner trial lessons and structured programmes. The in-house Golf Clinic describes its trial as beginner-friendly and says clubs can be provided when required.
A true beginner should not begin by hitting 200 balls with no instruction. Repeating a poor swing 200 times can make the movement harder to change later.
The beginner sequence
- Learn grip and setup.
- Understand safe bay behaviour.
- Learn a simple half-swing.
- Make consistent contact before chasing distance.
- Use different clubs gradually.
- Learn basic rules and etiquette before going onto a course.
Golf lessons
The current operator offers several coaching routes:
- Tee-to-Green / beginner programme;
- Junior Programme;
- Intermediate / handicap-oriented programme;
- Refresher programme;
- individual and group coaching.
Lesson packages are separate from ordinary range-ball cost, and course-based lessons can involve additional green fees. Read the current package terms before paying.
Junior golf
The official Junior Programme currently includes instruction in golf rules and etiquette, club selection, distance awareness and score-card basics, together with driving-range and course components.
This makes junior golf more than “hit balls far”. Children learn a sport with etiquette, scoring, self-control, patience and technical progression.
Is golf good for children?
Golf can be useful for children who enjoy individual skill development and concentration. It can build:
- coordination;
- body awareness;
- patience;
- self-correction;
- respect for rules;
- emotional control after a poor shot.
It is not the right sport for every child. A child who strongly prefers team play or constant movement may enjoy other sports more.
Golf Proficiency Certificate and handicap pathway
For golfers who want to move from range practice to course play, the operator offers proficiency/handicap pathways and Golfer.Sg Club services.
Golfer.Sg currently states that its club can support official handicap-index maintenance under the Singapore Golf Association system. Its standard procedures include course-based requirements and score-card submissions.
Do not confuse “I can hit at a driving range” with “I am ready to play independently on a course”. Course etiquette, pace of play and rules matter.
Late-night golf in Punggol
The range’s biggest lifestyle advantage is its late closing time. Friday–Sunday and public-holiday range hours currently run to 1am.
That makes it useful for:
- after-work practice;
- parents training after children sleep;
- teen/adult social sessions;
- golfers who prefer cooler evening conditions.
The facility should not be described as 24 hours. It is late-night, not all-night.
Punggol East leisure cluster
The range sits at 60 Punggol East, close to the Tebing Lane / Punggol East leisure area. The surrounding food/leisure landscape is changing in 2026 as the Container Park winds down, but the golf range remains a distinct operating facility.
Do not assume a nearby business closure means the golf range itself has closed.
Getting there
The range is at 60 Punggol East. Depending on origin, residents may use:
- Damai LRT / nearby east-side routes;
- bus;
- car / ride-hailing;
- bicycle via the wider Punggol East network.
Use a live journey planner because road and bus access can change with redevelopment in the Punggol East / Tebing Lane area.
Parking
Current visitor information and reviews describe on-site parking as one of the range’s practical advantages. Follow the current parking signs and charges on the day.
What to bring for free-and-easy practice
- golf clubs;
- glove;
- payment method accepted at dispenser;
- water;
- towel;
- appropriate shoes;
- simple practice plan.
If you do not own clubs, ask the range or coach about rental/lesson arrangements rather than assuming free club use for ordinary independent practice.
A better 100-ball practice session
Do not hit every ball with the driver.
- 10–15 easy warm-up shots.
- 20–30 iron contact shots.
- 20 distance-control or target shots.
- 20 woods/hybrid/driver shots.
- 10–20 random-club “course simulation” shots.
- Finish with a few technically clean swings, not exhaustion.
Quality practice creates feedback. Ball volume alone creates fatigue.
Beginner lesson or self-teach?
Golf has enough technical complexity that a few early lessons can save a beginner from building a swing around compensations. Self-practice becomes much more useful after the golfer understands what to practise.
