Co-Working Spaces and Places to Work Remotely in Punggol

Exterior building at Singapore Institute of Technology's Punggol Campus.

We could not verify any paid co-working space Punggol residents can book in town. The best free option is the Study Zone at One Punggol, open 9am–10pm daily. The nearest paid hot desks we could confirm are JustCo day passes, but all its Singapore centres are in the city centre.

Working near home saves the commute. The dining table, though, is not always the most productive desk in the flat.

This page is part of eduKate Punggol’s Essential Information for Punggol, our quick answers and where-to-go lists for everyday life in Punggol. It covers the places in Punggol where you can work for a few hours or a whole day, what each one suits, how to book the nearest paid hot desk, and what to pack.

Quick answer

  • Paid co-working in Punggol: none we could verify in October 2026.
  • Free and reliable: the Study Zone at Punggol Regional Library, One Punggol, Level 3 via Lift Lobby B. Open 9am–10pm daily, including public holidays.
  • Punggol Digital District: JTC says its business-park towers include collaborative spaces accessible to the public (check live).
  • SIT alumni: the Alumni Base Station on SIT’s Punggol campus. See our Base Station guide.
  • Nearest paid hot desk: a JustCo Day Pass, booked in the JustCo App, at centres such as 18 Cross Street in the CBD.
  • Work booths at Waterway Point: mentioned in a 2020 article and a mall directory, but we could not confirm they still operate.

Places to Work in Punggol, and the Nearest Co-Working Space

JustCo’s official list of Singapore centres shows ten, all in the CBD and central area. None is in the north-east. So in Punggol, “co-working” mostly means free public spaces, used considerately.

A note on work booths: a 2020 article listed pay-per-minute “Switch by JustCo” booths at Waterway Point, and a mall directory still shows them. JustCo’s 2026 app guide and day-pass guide do not mention Switch at all. Treat the booths as unconfirmed until you see one working.

Which Workspace Fits Your Day

A quiet day of focused work

The Study Zone is the obvious choice: free, near the MRT, and open late. It is a study space, so think writing, reading and spreadsheets, not team calls.

A day full of video calls

A library is the wrong place for calls. Work from home with headphones, try the public spaces at Punggol Digital District after checking with JTC, or book a JustCo meeting room for the call that matters most.

You need a proper desk and a pantry

A JustCo Hot Desk Day Pass gives you a workstation, Wi-Fi, common areas, a pantry and on-site staff. The trade-off is the trip into town.

Evening work

The Study Zone stays open until 10pm every day, an hour after the library closes.

You live near Punggol Coast

Punggol Digital District may be closer than One Punggol. JTC says SIT’s campus has communal spaces open to the public, and the business-park towers have collaborative spaces and sky terraces. JTC’s November 2024 article described the district as being completed in stages through 2024 and 2025, so access arrangements may have changed since. Check with JTC before you count on a seat.

A change of scene with coffee

Our best study spots guide covers cafés and quiet corners, and third places in Punggol lists spots where you can spend time without spending money.

How to Book a JustCo Day Pass

  1. Download the JustCo App.
  2. Browse spaces. Check live availability at each centre.
  3. Choose a Day Pass or meeting room. The app’s FAQ lists Hot Desk (Day), Hot Desk (Monthly) and meeting rooms.
  4. Check the price and pay in the app. Prices are shown before you pay.
  5. Open the door with your phone. JustCo says you enter the centre through the app.
  6. Look out for a welcome offer. JustCo says new users may get a complimentary Hot Desk Day Pass at selected locations, used within 30 days.

These steps follow JustCo’s day-pass guide, published in May 2026.

What to Pack for a Day Working Out

  • Laptop charger and a power bank. A seat with a socket is never guaranteed.
  • Headphones, for focus and for any unavoidable call outside.
  • A light jacket. Air-conditioned spaces can feel cold by mid-afternoon.
  • A water bottle and, if allowed, a snack for later.
  • Wi-Fi ready to go. Set up Wireless@SGx at home first, using our free Wi-Fi guide, and keep your phone’s hotspot as a backup.

Costs

The library and Study Zone are free. JustCo did not publish day-pass prices on the pages we read; the app shows the price before you pay. Printing, scanning and meeting rooms at JustCo cost extra. For Punggol Digital District, check live with JTC whether a space is open to you and whether any charge applies.

Neighbour’s Tips for Remote Work in Punggol

  • Use the Study Zone’s longer hours. It opens at 9am, an hour before the library, and stays open until 10pm.
  • Find the right lift. The Study Zone is reached from Level 3 via Lift Lobby B.
  • Remember the festive eves. On Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Chinese New Year’s Eve the library closes at 5pm, but NLB lists the Study Zone at its usual 9am–10pm.
  • Step out for calls. Keep the quiet zones quiet, and take calls outside.
  • Never leave a laptop alone. Pack it away, even for a quick toilet break.
  • Move every hour. Our working from home guide has desk set-up tips and waterway walks for lunch breaks.
  • Weigh up a job near home. If remote days are becoming the norm, our guide on whether a job near home is worth it may help.

If Your Workday Goes Wrong

  • Home Wi-Fi or power fails: head to the Study Zone, open until 10pm.
  • Public Wi-Fi drops mid-task: switch to your phone’s hotspot and save your work.
  • Your laptop breaks: see our phone and laptop repairs page.
