Built for Punggol West
Punggol Green began in 2013 to serve the fast-growing Punggol West community, under founding principal Mrs Seah Lay Tin. It sits at 98 Punggol Walk, next to the Punggol Sapphire and Punggol Ripples estates, and was officially opened in 2015. MOE Kindergarten @ Punggol Green was set up the same year.
The campus was built to the newer standards recommended by MOE’s Primary Education Review and Implementation (PERI) Committee, which pushed schools towards more holistic, less exam-centred primary education. The school’s stated aim is to grow “future-ready leaders with the heart for others”. Since 2019 it has been led by Mr Hanafi Asmore, formerly principal of Punggol Primary School.
