One Punggol Hawker Centre: The Neighbourhood Kitchen
If Punggol has a dining room, this is it. The hawker centre sits on the second floor of One Punggol, above the library and community club, with high ceilings and plenty of natural light. On some Friday evenings there is live music, and families linger long after the plates are cleared.
What residents come back for: comforting Teochew and Cantonese porridge for breakfast and rainy days, old-school fried chicken wings, bak chor mee, Penang-style rojak, Malay favourites like mee rebus and lontong, and a rotating mix of Korean, Western and newer hawker concepts.

Punggol Coast Hawker Centre: The Newcomer With Big Names
When Punggol Coast Hawker Centre opened in July 2025, the queues went round the corner, and they still form at weekend lunch. It brought famous names to the north-east: Michelin-recognised stalls such as Singapore Fried Hokkien Mee and Hock Hai (Hong Lim) Curry Chicken Noodle, the revived South Buona Vista Braised Duck, Pin Wei Hong Kong Style Chee Cheong Fun and Huay Kwang Thai Wanton Mee. Younger hawkers add fun too, like What The Puff with its curry puffs, and Hakka Leipopo with thunder tea rice.
Resident tips:
- Weekend lunch is the hardest time to find a seat. Try breakfast or an early dinner instead.
- CDC vouchers have been accepted here, which helps on family meals.
- Combine it with an after-dinner walk along the promenade or around the Digital District.

Muslim families have good options in both hawker centres. At Punggol Coast Hawker Centre, look for Kedai Salima and SJ Sickander Ammal Muslim Food, known for Indian rojak, roti prata and murtabak. One Punggol has Malay stalls for breakfast and lunch favourites. The malls add halal-certified chains and family restaurants. Seafood by the Sea: The Punggol Settlement
For a birthday, an anniversary or a “we deserve this” Friday, residents head north to The Punggol Settlement near Punggol Point. The seafood restaurants here face the water, and dinner at sunset, with the breeze coming off the Johor Strait, feels like a small holiday.
