The short answer: Punggol’s first hotel is Habyt Punggol, a 224-key hotel in the Punggol Digital District. It is being developed by Verdant View, which JTC awarded the hotel site in March 2026, and will be run by the hospitality group Habyt. It is scheduled to open in the first half of 2027, with loft-style rooms and an infinity pool looking out to Coney Island.
For a town of about 200,000 people, Punggol has never had a hotel. Relatives flying in for a wedding, a new baby or a graduation have slept on sofas or stayed across the island.
