Waterway Point is beside Punggol MRT/LRT at 83 Punggol Central, Singapore 828761. Use Exit A from Punggol station (NE17/PTC), then check whether your destination is in the East Wing or West Wing and on which level. With a stroller, find the lift route before following the first escalator or staircase you see.
For a first family trip, choose a meeting point by wing and level, then plan one main stop. This might be lunch, a shopping errand or a visit to Happy Park, the rooftop wet-and-dry playground on Level 2. Waterway Point lists family and nursing rooms, changing stations and other amenities. Check the current map for the nearest ones to your route.
- Get off at Punggol MRT (NE17), use Exit A and follow the mall signs.
- Save the wing, level and unit number of your first stop. A level number alone can send you to the wrong side.
- Check the mall map for lifts and family amenities before moving to another floor.
- Use West Wing, Level 2 concierge as a named landmark if that side suits your plan.
- Keep the outdoor play stop optional and check the mall’s current notices and signs before using it.

Start at Exit A
The mall’s official directions say to use Exit A from Punggol MRT/LRT station. Punggol (NE17/PTC) is the station for Waterway Point. Punggol Coast (NE18), one stop farther north on the North East Line, serves Punggol Coast Mall and SIT. If a relative is joining you, send the full mall name, address and station code before they travel. This is especially useful when people are approaching from opposite sides of town.
If you come by bus, Waterway Point’s directions identify Punggol Bus Interchange. If you drive, check current parking arrangements and agree where the family will meet once everyone is inside. A passenger with the stroller might arrive before the person parking the car. Give both people the same wing, level and landmark so they can make their own way there. Use the official Waterway Point visit page for transport and parking information.
Learn to read a mall address
Treat the mall address as three pieces of information: wing, level and unit. If someone sends “Level 2”, you know how high to go but you still need to know where. If they send a screenshot with a shop name but no wing, open the official directory and check the full listing. Save the address in a message for everyone coming, especially if you are headed straight to a reservation. A useful text is “Waterway Point, West Wing, Level 2, by concierge.” If the group is meeting at an outlet, include its unit as well.
When a location is unfamiliar, a staffed landmark can be easier to find than a shop. Waterway Point lists its concierge at West Wing, Level 2. If your first stop is on the other side of the mall, a clear permanent landmark there may save a crossing. The point is to choose a place that works for the day’s plan and to use the same name in every message. If the mall is busy, find somewhere to stand where the stroller and waiting group leave enough space for people to pass.
Check the map before changing floors
Use a directory or the mall map to match the wing with the shop and identify a lift. A direct walking route may include a short flight of stairs, while a lift route can involve a different corridor or crossing. Decide whether it is simpler to change floors before or after crossing to the other wing based on the current signs and what is open. If one lift is crowded, give yourself a few minutes or find a marked alternative before separating the group.
For a later return to the MRT, note the route at the moment you enter. If you leave from a different wing, consult the signs for the station instead of retracing a long circuit out of habit. The same technique helps when a child needs a quick change. A good route is one you can repeat in the opposite direction with a tired child and both hands occupied. Start from the official Waterway Point website and map links.
SECTION 2 OF 6 · MOVING THROUGH THE MALL WITH A STROLLER
Find a lift and a family room before you need one
Back to contentsSave the nearest useful amenities
Waterway Point lists family and nursing rooms, diaper-changing stations, children’s shower facilities and other amenities on its visitor information page. The helpful question on the day is which one is closest to where you already are. At the first directory, check what is available near your lunch stop, then check the location of the nearest suitable facility to Happy Park if you plan to go there. You can then decide whether to cross the mall now or handle the next family stop on the same side.
A young child may need a toilet break just as you reach a restaurant queue. If two adults are present, decide whether one will stay near the restaurant while the other follows the signs to the facilities. Agree on a return point and tell the child what is happening. If you are on your own with two children, make the toilet or changing stop first so you can order and eat without rushing away again.
When the group moves at different speeds
A trip through the mall with a stroller, a grandparent and a school-age child involves different walking speeds. Let the person pushing the stroller find the lift, and have the rest of the group wait at the next agreed point. Some people may take the stairs or escalator while others use the lift. Tell everyone the exact wing and floor before splitting. If you cannot agree on the route quickly, move together.
Leave room for passengers to get out of the lift before boarding and check there is space to manoeuvre once you reach your floor. On a busy day, two small family groups may find it easier to take separate lifts and wait at the same landmark. With someone who relies on a wheelchair or has specific access needs, check the mall’s official accessibility information and ask concierge about the route you actually intend to take. The mall lists wheelchair loan among its services. Confirm arrangements if the visit depends on it.
Decide what to bring and what to carry home
Packing for a visit with a child can make the return trip harder than the outward one. A stroller that is easy to push on arrival may also be carrying a bag of groceries and a wet change of clothes by the time you leave. For a grocery stop, do the browsing or play first and buy heavy items at the end if this suits the child’s schedule. If the meal is the fixed point, choose one place to put the bags and keep essentials within reach.
A small bag for a change, a drink and any immediate essentials can save opening every pocket in a lift lobby. If you plan outdoor play, separate the wet items before packing them against shopping or borrowed books. These small choices have more effect on a stroller trip than seeing every store on the same visit. Check the mall’s official amenities and accessibility information.

Pick a wing before choosing a restaurant
For a family meeting for lunch, choose two options in the same wing if you can. Check current hours and the unit number for each. If the first queue is long or the menu needs a second look, everyone can move to the second option without making another level change. This is particularly useful when a child has already been in the stroller for the trip or a grandparent is waiting for a seat.
Ask about stroller space or a child seat where it matters. For allergies or other dietary requirements, confirm ingredients and preparation with the outlet. On a short trip, takeaway may be easier if there is a suitable place to eat and the food is easy to carry. On a longer visit, sitting down for lunch might be the rest the family needs before deciding whether to go outdoors. Choose according to the group that is actually coming.
Use the visit for one essential errand
If you are collecting an order, checking a repair or returning an item, put that task first. Open the store’s current listing and check the wing, level, unit and trading hours. Use the same details when you arrange to meet someone else afterwards. A second stop is easier to add when you have already finished the task that brought you to the mall.
A family arriving shortly before a shop opens could have a drink nearby or move the optional errand to another day. Some outlets may open earlier or close later than general mall hours, so confirm the business you plan to use. If you know you will be carrying groceries home, work out whether the return is easier by MRT, bus or a pickup before loading the stroller. It is much easier to change the transport plan before everyone has started walking.
Make room for an unplanned break
On a first visit, the time saved by choosing two nearby stops can become the time you need to sit down. If a child is restless while one adult finishes an errand, the other adult can choose a short route to a directory or a suitable waiting spot and then return. Agree which side of the mall you will stay on. One unnecessary trip to the other wing can turn a short stop into another round of lifts.
Use the Waterway Point shops and visitor guide for more on the mall. For current outlets and their locations, start with the operator’s store directory links.

SECTION 4 OF 6 · AN OPTIONAL OUTDOOR STOP
Decide between Happy Park, a short waterfront walk and going home
Back to contentsFind Happy Park from Level 2
Waterway Point describes Happy Park as its rooftop playground with wet and dry play areas. Head to Level 2 and follow the current mall signs to the park. Before promising water play, check whether the wet area is operating and what the signs say about access, clothing or closures. On a hot or wet day, decide how long you would realistically want to spend outside. If you brought a change of clothes, check where you can use the appropriate facilities before the child starts playing.
Plan the arrival and departure as part of the play stop. Pick a point for the family to regroup and decide where the stroller can stay without blocking the route. Give children an easy-to-understand stopping point, such as one last turn before going to change. If the equipment they hoped to use is unavailable, offer a choice between a short dry play visit, if that area is open, and another plan the family already knows.
Take a short walk by the water when it suits the group
A second option is to follow the mall signs towards the waterway and take a brief out-and-back walk. Check the route on the day, especially if you need step-free access. Treat the mall as your return point and turn around before someone is too tired to walk back. If you intend to make Punggol Waterway Park the main destination, plan that separately using NParks’ directions and any current notices.
With older children, the walk can be a way to see where the mall sits in the neighbourhood. Ask them to remember which entrance they used and guide the return. If they are familiar with the area, they can give the family a landmark for the way back. Keep the walk flexible if rain changes the plan or the family has cold groceries or wet play gear to take home.
Let the indoor visit stand on its own
If the outside stop falls through, an indoor lunch or a completed errand can still make a good trip. A first outing is often easier if you promise the stop you can verify and leave everything else open. If a child especially wants water play, consider making that a separate visit and check the conditions closer to the time.
For the playground description, check Waterway Point’s community page. For a dedicated play outing, see our Happy Park water-play guide. For a longer outdoor visit, check NParks’ Punggol Waterway Park page.

A one-wing visit for lunch
Choose a restaurant and a second option on the same side. Save both locations. When you reach Waterway Point from the station, check the directory for the lift route to the chosen level. If somebody has arrived ahead of you, ask them to check the queue before the rest of the family changes floors. Meet near the restaurant, eat and then decide whether an extra stop is worth the time. This works when a family has a short gap between appointments or a child who is ready to nap.
For instance, you could arrive with fifty minutes until you need to leave. Save ten for getting out and reaching the platform or pickup point. If there is a queue when you arrive, consider whether the nearby second option fits what everyone wants. By choosing lunch and the return trip first, you can give a realistic answer when somebody asks to visit a shop on the other side. The group can still change its mind if it has more time than expected.
A longer visit built around outdoor play
If play is the main reason for coming, go to the playground before buying groceries or anything awkward to carry. Check access on arrival, identify the nearest useful family facility and agree on where to meet after changing. Plan lunch after the outdoor stop if that fits the children’s usual meal times. If the restaurant you want is in the other wing, note where to cross before taking everyone to another level.
A family with a baby and a school-age child can split the trip if there are two adults and both are comfortable doing so. One adult can accompany the older child to play while the other takes the baby to a family room or goes to the meal venue. Pick a meeting point by wing and level, and agree when to regroup. If the group wants to leave immediately after lunch, avoid planning a second crossing for a small errand that can wait.
Keep the return route easy to explain
Before you head home, confirm how the group will get from the last stop to the station, bus interchange or car. The simplest outward route may have started from a different wing. For a rail trip, look for current station signs and check where the lift path goes. For pickup, send the driver the official pickup point or a location they can actually use, and wait together where there is room for the stroller.
A good test of the route is whether someone else in the family could follow it. Ask them to name the next wing, floor or landmark. If the answer is unclear, return to the nearest directory and orient the whole group. A two-minute pause at a directory is easier than finding each other again after taking separate lifts to different parts of the mall.

Which MRT exit should I use for Waterway Point?
Use Exit A at Punggol MRT/LRT (NE17/PTC). Follow the mall signs and check the lift route if you have a stroller or need step-free access. For a meetup, give the other person a wing and level as well as the station name.
Where is the Waterway Point concierge?
The mall lists concierge at West Wing, Level 2. It is a useful point to ask about lifts, current amenities and wheelchair loan arrangements. For a meal on the opposite side, choose a meeting point nearer the restaurant if the group knows where it is.
What is the best way to avoid crossing between the wings several times?
Group the stops by wing, then decide which floor changes are needed. If a restaurant and the family room you will use are in one wing, complete those stops before moving to the other side. If only one shop matters, go directly there first and see what else fits afterwards.
Is Happy Park inside the mall?
Access is from the mall’s Level 2, and the playground is outdoors on the roof. The official mall description covers both wet and dry play. Follow the signs and check current conditions before promising a particular feature.
Are the mall’s hours the same as the stores’ hours?
Check individual businesses as well as the mall. The operator advertises general mall hours of 10 am to 10 pm, while individual stores, services and outdoor facilities can follow different schedules. If you have a reservation or an early pickup, check the outlet’s own hours. Waterway Point visitor information.
What if our family wants the regional library after lunch?
Punggol Regional Library is at One Punggol, 1 Punggol Drive. Treat it as a separate stop and allow time to reach the hub. If you are meeting another family there, give them the library entrance on Level 1 as the landmark. See the One Punggol hub guide for the other services in the building.
