This geographical description makes it a meaningful public walking option near the 112 route, which uses Hougang Avenue 7 and Tampines Road.

But a bus stop beside a condominium is not necessarily the entrance to the park connector. Choose the actual public path and the authorised crossing before leaving home. Residential developments such as Rio Vista and Riverfront Residences are private properties; their name on a stop pole does not give the public access to condominium gardens, pools or internal gates.

For a short family outing, select only one manageable open stretch of the connector. Observe the river, plants and any birds from a respectful distance. There is no need to walk all 4.2 km. A longer cycling route may make sense for an experienced user, but that is a different plan with different needs for equipment and safety.

NParks describes the connector as wheelchair accessible, but the bus-stop-to-path connection still requires a separately suitable crossing and access point. A wheelchair-accessible public park connector does not automatically make every surrounding footpath, staircase or residential gate usable.
