Every Meet-the-People Session Punggol Town Council lists is held on a Monday evening, at venues in the four divisions of Punggol GRC. Sessions start at 7.30pm or 8pm, depending on the division. There are none on the fifth Monday of a month, on public holidays, or on the eve of a public holiday.
Find your division, check the date, bring your papers, and come with a little patience.
This page is part of eduKate Punggol’s Essential Information for Punggol, our quick answers and where-to-go lists for everyday life in Punggol. It sticks to the practical side: where and when each Meet-the-People Session (MPS) runs, what to bring, and which matters can go straight to an agency or the Town Council instead.

Which Session Is Yours
Know your division
Punggol GRC has four divisions: Punggol Coast, Punggol North, Punggol Shore and Punggol West. If you are not sure which one your block belongs to, call Punggol Town Council rather than guessing. A two-minute call saves a wasted Monday evening.
You live in Punggol West
Your venue depends on the week. The 1st, 2nd and 4th Mondays are at Blk 308C Punggol Walk, Lift Lobby 6. The 3rd Monday is at Blk 221B Sumang Lane. In November 2026, for example, that means 2 and 23 November at Punggol Walk and 16 November at Sumang Lane. Monday 9 November 2026 is a public holiday (Deepavali falls on Sunday 8 November), and 30 November is a 5th Monday, so neither has a session.
You found an older address online
Punggol’s constituency boundaries changed in 2025. Punggol GRC was formed from the Punggol Coast and Punggol Shore divisions of the former Pasir Ris–Punggol GRC, plus the former Punggol West SMC. The new Punggol Town Council took over from 1 August 2025. Older pages list venues such as Blk 222 Sumang Lane or Blk 308B Punggol Walk. Go by the current Town Council listing.
Your matter might not need a session
Many issues can be raised directly first. Problems in your block’s common areas go to the Town Council, or can be reported through OneService, as our OneService guide explains. For help with government e-services, ServiceSG One Punggol at 1 Punggol Drive takes walk-ins Monday to Saturday, 9am–6pm. Neighbour disputes have their own mediation route, explained in our neighbour disputes guide.
How a Meet-the-People Session Usually Works
No government agency publishes a step-by-step guide. Sessions are run by the elected MP with volunteers. The general description below comes from public sources such as this overview, so details at each venue may differ (check live).
- Check the date. Confirm it is not a 5th Monday, a public holiday or the eve of one. Our public holidays guide lists the dates.
- Gather your documents. Put your IC and every relevant letter in one folder.
- Arrive during session hours. Go to the venue for your division and week.
- Register with the volunteers. They take down your details and the matter you want to raise.
- Explain your case to a volunteer. A volunteer usually helps draft a letter about your situation.
- Meet the MP. The MP may write to the relevant agency on your behalf.
- Keep every reply. File any letter or email you receive about the matter, in case you need to follow up.
What to Bring to a Meet-the-People Session in Punggol
- Your IC. So that your name and particulars are recorded correctly.
- Letters from agencies. For example from HDB, CPF, MOM or a school, with any reference numbers.
- Supporting papers. Payslips, bills, medical memos or anything else that shows your situation.
- A one-page summary. What happened, when, who you have contacted, and what you are asking for.
- Your phone, charged. Handy if a document only exists as an email or app screenshot.
A local community site advises bringing relevant documents for more efficient assistance, and says walk-ins are welcome without prior registration (check live). The Town Council does not publish a booking system.
Costs and Who Can Attend
No fee is stated by the Town Council or any source we checked. The Town Council does not publish eligibility rules either, so if you are unsure whether you should attend a particular division’s session, call the Town Council first.
Neighbour’s Tips for Meet-the-People Sessions
- Circle the 5th Mondays. 30 November 2026 and 29 March 2027 have no sessions anywhere in Punggol.
- Arrive early in the session. Cut-off times are not published, and evenings can get busy.
- Write it down before you go. A clear summary helps the volunteer write a clear letter, and helps you stay calm if the matter is stressful.
- Bring copies as well as originals. It is easier to hand over a copy than to part with your only letter.
- Keep a simple log. Note the date you attended and any reply you get, in case you need to follow up.
- Follow up between sessions. Contact details for each division are listed on the Punggol Town Council website, so a simple update need not wait for the next Monday.
- Need legal advice? A session is not a legal clinic. Our free legal help guide lists clinics and legal aid.
If It Is Urgent or Out of Hours
- A session is not an emergency service. For anything life-threatening, call 995 (ambulance or fire) or 999 (police).
- Estate emergencies after office hours: call Punggol Town Council’s after-hours line (EMSU) on 1800-325 8888.
- Money trouble this week: see our guide to ComCare and financial help in Punggol for Social Service Offices and Family Service Centres.
- Feeling overwhelmed: our mental health help page lists crisis lines and counselling.

Check your division, check the Monday, and bring one tidy folder. That is most of the work. If someone you know is struggling with a letter they do not understand, offer to go along with them. A second pair of eyes and a written summary make the evening much easier.
