You need two witnesses for a CPF nomination
If you cannot find two witnesses for your online nomination, CPF says you can visit a ServiceSG Centre with your Singpass, and officers will assist you. ServiceSG One Punggol is listed as the north-east centre. No appointment is needed.
You have a quick question
Call the right hotline, or use “Text Us” on WhatsApp and send a photo of the letter that puzzled you. If you hate hold music, CPF suggests booking an appointment and calling the hotline at your scheduled time.
Your case is complicated, or it is for someone else
Use CPF’s “Write to Us” form for complex cases, appeals and enquiries made on someone else’s behalf. CPF aims to reply within five working days.
You really need a counter
Book CPF Tampines for a weekday, or CPF Bishan if Saturday morning is your only free time. Slots are usually available as early as the next working day.
You are turning 55
CPF offers the CPF Retirement Planning Service, a one-to-one session with information about your own accounts. A letter with booking details arrives a few months before your 55th birthday, and your personalised retirement planner appears online from six months before. CPF also runs talks and workshops, which you can book through the workshop booking page.
It is about MediSave, MediShield Life or CareShield Life
Use the healthcare line, 1800-222-3399. It is separate from the retirement and housing line, so you save a transfer.
How to Book a CPF Appointment, Step by Step
- Check whether you need a counter at all. Try the hotline, Text Us or Write to Us first. Many questions end there.
- Pick your centre. Tampines is nearest for weekdays. Bishan is the only Saturday choice.
- Book online. Use CPF’s appointment form at least one working day ahead. You can book up to two weeks in advance.
- Write down your questions. A short list keeps the session focused, especially for retirement or housing matters.
- Gather your papers. It helps to bring your IC, your phone with Singpass and any CPF letters about the matter.
- Arrive a little early. Counter service is by appointment only, so treat the slot like a clinic booking.
- Follow up in writing. If something is left open, use Write to Us so there is a record.
What to Prepare
- Singpass on your phone: needed for ServiceSG help, CPF’s online services and Text Us.
- Letters from CPF: a photo or the paper copy, so the officer sees exactly what you saw.
- For a suspected scam: a copy of your police report.
- For a senior parent: if you are asking on their behalf, use Write to Us, which CPF lists for enquiries about someone else.
Costs and the 2026 Contribution Changes
CPF does not list any fee for appointments, and PSD does not list one for ServiceSG help. The only cost you are likely to notice is airtime when you call a 1800 number from a mobile.
If you or a parent is a working senior, note the change from 1 January 2026. For monthly wages above $750, the total contribution rate rose from 32.5% to 34% for workers above 55 to 60, and from 23.5% to 25% for workers above 60 to 65. Neighbour’s Tips for CPF Help near Punggol
- Do not just turn up at Tampines. CPF counters are appointment only. Book first, even if it is for the next day.
- Saturday means Bishan. It is the only CPF centre with Saturday hours, and only until 1pm.
- Book, then call. CPF’s own tip is to book a slot and ring the hotline at that time instead of waiting in the queue.
- Go by PSD’s hours for ServiceSG. One CPF FAQ says ServiceSG centres open daily. PSD, which runs ServiceSG, says One Punggol is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
- Ignore old addresses. Some pages still mention the CPF Building on Robinson Road. The city-centre counter is now CPF Maxwell, 45 Maxwell Road.
- Use Text Us for paperwork puzzles. You can send images and voice messages, which is handy for a parent who prefers to explain things out loud.
- Save both hotline numbers. Retirement and housing on one line, healthcare on the other. Picking the right one first saves a transfer.
If It Is Urgent or Out of Hours
- Suspected CPF scam: CPF has no separate scam hotline. Report it through CPF’s scam form (handled Monday to Friday, 8.30am–5.30pm) with your police report. Alert your bank, reset your Singpass if it may be compromised, and if you are 55 or older, consider activating the CPF Withdrawal Lock.
