Left something on the MRT or LRT in Punggol? Report it to SBS Transit on 6383 7211 or through its online Lost Articles Report. Most Punggol buses are run by Go-Ahead Singapore, so for a bus, call 6812 6469. For a mall, ask its customer service counter, and check whether the item reached the police.
Take heart: an umbrella, a water bottle or a wallet left behind is not gone for good until you have made these few calls.
This page is part of eduKate Punggol’s Essential Information for Punggol, our quick answers and where-to-go lists for everyday life in Punggol. It sorts out the lost and found Punggol commuters and shoppers actually rely on: who runs each train, bus and mall, how to reach them, and when the police come in.
Quick answer

- Stolen, not lost? Lodge a police report instead.
Where to Report Lost and Found Items in Punggol
The key is knowing who operates the place where you lost it. Trains and buses in Punggol are run by different companies, and each one keeps its own lost property.

Which Route Fits What You Lost
On a train or the LRT
Tell station staff straight away if you are still nearby, then report it to SBS Transit. We have a full walkthrough of the form in Lost Something on Punggol MRT or LRT?, so we will not repeat it here.
On a bus
Work out the operator first. SBS Transit’s own form says that if your service number is not in its list, the service is not run by SBS Transit. Third-party listings show most services from Punggol and Punggol Coast interchanges as Go-Ahead’s (check live), so call 6812 6469. If your case concerns another operator, SBS Transit says it may pass your details on and that operator may contact you, but calling the right operator yourself is more direct.
In a mall or a shop
Go back to the shop first, then the mall’s customer service counter or security. Leave your name and number, and ask how long they hold items before passing them on.
Somewhere else, or you are not sure
Check the FUPO list, then lodge a police Lost Property Report online. It takes about 15 minutes. Our FUPO guide explains each step.
In a taxi or private-hire car
Use the help section of the app or company you booked through. We have not checked each operator’s process, so we cannot give a number here.
How to Report a Lost Item, Step by Step
- Retrace and ask on the spot. Station staff, the bus captain at the interchange, or the shop counter may already have it.
- Write down the details. SBS Transit’s form asks for the date (dd/mm/yyyy), the time in 24-hour format, the place or interchange, the service number, a description and an item category.
- Contact the right operator. SBS Transit for the NEL and LRT. Go-Ahead for most Punggol buses. The mall for anything left in a mall.
- Check the found lists. SBS Transit publishes a found-items list, and the police publish the FUPO list.
- File a police Lost Property Report if needed. Use it when the item is still missing and was not lost through crime. You can attach up to five files of 10MB each.
- Switch to a police report if it was stolen. A theft is a crime report, not a lost property report.
- Answer unknown numbers for a few days. Operators and police may call or SMS you when something matches.
What to Prepare and What It Costs
- A precise description: colour, brand, size, stickers, what was inside the bag.
- Serial numbers and photos: the police form asks for these where they apply, so phones, laptops and cameras are easier to match.
- Proof it is yours: a receipt, an old photo of you with it, or the phone’s box.
- Your contact details: a phone number and email you actually check.
- ID when you collect: collection rules were not published, so ask what to bring when they call.
Neither SBS Transit nor the police state a fee for filing a lost item report. Any collection fees or holding periods were not published on the pages we checked, so ask when you are contacted.
Neighbour’s Tips for Lost and Found in Punggol
- Remember the service number. It is the first thing every operator asks, and it tells you which company to call. Type it into your phone’s notes the moment you realise something is missing.
- Use 24-hour time. Write 18:45, not “about quarter to seven”. The form insists on it.
- Note your direction. Towards HarbourFront or towards Punggol Coast, East Loop or West Loop. It narrows the search.
- Lost a card or ID? A lost NRIC or passport goes to ICA, with no police report needed; see our lost passport guide. For a driving licence, see our driving licence replacement guide.
- Do not touch suspicious items. If you see an unattended bag that worries you, tell station or mall staff and keep away. In an emergency, call 999.
- Snap your valuables now. A photo of your phone’s serial number and your child’s school bag makes any future report faster.
- Lost a pet, not a thing? That is a different process. See our guide to reporting a lost cat or dog in Punggol.
If It Is Urgent or Out of Hours
- Your item was stolen and you are in danger: call 999, or SMS 70999 if you cannot talk.
- A suspicious unattended item: tell staff, keep clear, and call 999 if it is an emergency.
- After 10pm: Go-Ahead’s line closes at 10pm, so call again from 7.30am. For the NEL or LRT, SBS Transit’s online form does not depend on hotline hours.
- Weekends: FUPO answers on weekdays only. The FUPO list and the online Lost Property Report work any day.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the lost and found at Punggol MRT?
SBS Transit handles lost items for Punggol and Punggol Coast MRT stations and the Punggol LRT. It does not publish an office address, so call 6383 7211 or use the online Lost Articles Report.
I left something on a bus from Punggol Interchange. Who do I call?
Most likely Go-Ahead Singapore, listed as the interchange’s anchor operator (check live), on 6812 6469 (daily, 7.30am–10pm). If SBS Transit’s form lists your service number, the bus is theirs instead.
How do I know if my item was handed to the police?
Check the FUPO list of handed-over property, or call FUPO on 6842 9645 on weekdays, 9am–5.30pm. If police SMS you to claim, book an appointment through BookingSG.
Is there a lost and found counter at Waterway Point?
Waterway Point lists a customer service counter, which is the natural place to ask. We could not confirm its level or hours, so ask any mall staff to point you there.
My phone is missing. Is that a lost property report or a police report?
If you simply misplaced it, use the Lost Property Report. If you believe it was stolen, lodge a police report instead. Have the serial number ready for either.
How long are lost items kept?
The operators did not publish holding periods on the pages we checked. Report as early as you can, and ask about the deadline when they contact you.
