Make a Non-Emergency Police Report from Punggol: What to Prepare

Three students in school uniforms work through open books at a classroom table, with textbooks and stationery nearby and study notes on the whiteboard behind them.

For a crime that does not require immediate police action, such as a non-emergency theft or scam, Punggol residents can use SPF’s Lodge Police Report e-Service. Start from the official SPF page.

If urgent police assistance is needed, call 999 instead of waiting to finish an online report. SPF’s reporting page gives separate directions for emergencies and missing persons, so choose the route that matches the situation.

Before making a non-emergency report from Punggol, prepare the date, time, location, a clear account of what happened and relevant supporting records. For a missing item, SPF asks for its serial number and photograph where applicable.

Write a short timeline

Put events in time order. Include the exact Punggol block, shop or other location if known, and say when you first noticed the incident.

Separate what you saw yourself from what someone else told you. If a time is approximate, label it that way rather than making the report appear more precise than your memory supports.

Prepare useful supporting files

Keep relevant receipts, messages, photographs or transaction records together. SPF’s service page lists the current accepted file formats and attachment limits.

Use descriptive filenames and retain the originals. Do not alter a screenshot to make it more persuasive; a short explanation can clarify which part of a conversation or record is relevant.

Use the correct service

SPF distinguishes the non-emergency crime report from other reporting routes. Its page also directs lost NRIC and Singapore passport matters to ICA for the document process.

Read the service instructions before entering your account. If uncertain which route applies, use the official guidance rather than copying instructions from an unrelated neighbourhood incident.

Keep the acknowledgement

Retain the submission reference and any follow-up instructions. Record additional information when it becomes available, including the date you received it.

Avoid assuming that an online submission establishes a particular outcome or response time. For a technical problem with the e-Service, SPF directs enquiries through its feedback channel and asks for a screenshot of the issue.
