Lost an item in Punggol without evidence of a crime? SPF’s Lost Property Report service is for property not lost through crime. If you believe it was stolen, SPF directs you to lodge a Police Report instead.
Before making a lost-property report, SPF says you can check whether the item has been handed to its Found & Unclaimed Property Office, or FUPO. Use the contact details or property-list link on the official service page rather than an unofficial claim message.
Prepare the item’s serial number and photograph where available, plus a clear account of when and where it went missing. For an item left on a Punggol bus, train or at a business, also check the relevant operator or premises’ lost-and-found process.

Describe what you know
Record the last confirmed location, approximate time and identifying features. Distinguish a known event from a guess about where the item disappeared.
A useful description can include make, model, colour and a private identifying detail. Do not invent a serial number or state a suspected location as certain.
Check the official found-property route
SPF’s service page links to properties handed over to the police and gives FUPO’s enquiry details. Use those official entry points.
An item held by an operator or shop may not yet be in a police-held list. A missing search result does not establish that the item cannot be recovered.
Submit the right report
Use Lost Property Report for a non-crime loss, following its current form instructions. For suspected theft, use the police-report route.
Keep the submitted description consistent with the evidence you have. Acknowledgement records the report; it does not confirm a recovery.
Verify a collection message
SPF says people notified to claim property can book an appointment through the linked BookingSG route. Navigate from the official page and follow the collection instructions.
Do not send money or sensitive documents to an unknown person claiming to release your property. Retain the report reference when contacting the official office.
