Which Space Fits Your Event

A wedding or solemnisation near home

Book the void deck or multi-purpose hall through the OneService app, with a copy of your marriage certificate or ROM acknowledgement. Our marriage registration guide covers the paperwork.

A funeral wake

Apply on the OneService app with a copy of the death certificate. There is no rental for a wake, only utility charges. Our guide for when someone dies explains the wider steps.

A talk, workshop or residents’ meeting

Community club seminar rooms suit most groups. For a large audience, One Punggol has a 600-seat multi-purpose hall, or you can ask SIT about space at its Punggol campus.

A family dinner for a hundred or more

SAFRA Punggol’s combined rooms take up to 300 people. Our SAFRA function rooms guide covers booking and capacity.

A cooking or music session

One Punggol has culinary and music studios. Request them through its onePA page and the CC will contact you.

A company or tech event

Start with our Punggol Digital District event space guide, then contact JTC.

How to Book a Function Room in Punggol

  1. Pin down the basics. Decide the date, rough headcount and type of event. The town council sorts bookings into Social, Bereavement and Others.
  2. Check who manages your block. Your S&CC bill names your town council. Some older posts still mention Pasir Ris-Punggol Town Council; Punggol now has its own.
  3. Book the void deck or hall. Use the OneService app for weddings and funeral wakes. For anything else, contact Punggol Town Council. Bookings open 6 months before the date.
  4. Request a community club room. Create a onePA account with Singpass, then use the request form on the CC’s onePA page. The CC contacts you to confirm.
  5. Pay promptly. On onePA, a slot is held for only 15 minutes while you pay.
  6. Get approval for extras. Signs, tents, power and water on common property all need the town council’s approval.
  7. Clean up and reclaim your deposit. Town council deposits are refunded to your S&CC account.

Documents to Prepare

  • Wedding: a copy of the marriage certificate or ROM acknowledgement.
  • Funeral wake: a copy of the death certificate.
  • Religious events: a letter of support from your MP, where the rate table asks for one.
  • onePA bookings: Singpass to create your account, and a payment card.
  • SAFRA: your headcount and layout, so the team can suggest which rooms to combine.

Costs and Rules

Punggol Town Council’s published rates are per day. For weddings, birthdays and similar events, electricity is $10 per point and water $8 per point on top of the rental.

A dash means we have not confirmed a figure, so ask the town council.

The town council’s by-laws, in force since 23 December 2025, say shows, parties, receptions and sales on common property need prior written permission. Unapproved signs can be removed after notice, you may not draw water or electricity without approval, and the council can recover the cost of any damage. Read the by-laws before you plan decorations.

SAFRA publishes its function room rates in a rate card on its page. onePA says confirmed bookings cannot be cancelled or refunded unless the outlet cancels, so be sure of your date before you pay.

Neighbour’s Tips for Booking Event Space in Punggol

  • Mark the six-month date. Popular weekends go quickly, so set a reminder for the day the booking window opens.
  • Budget the power points. Food warmers, fans and a sound system each need a point. Count them before you book.
  • Plan for the monsoon. From late November to March, afternoon thunderstorms are common, and rain blows into void decks. Ask about sides for your tent.
  • Tell your neighbours. A friendly note at the lift lobby goes a long way for a wake or a late wedding dinner.
  • Use the hub’s location. One Punggol is close to Punggol MRT and Sam Kee LRT, which makes it easy for guests coming by train.
  • Bundle with the kids’ rooms. At SAFRA, children’s party rooms and function rooms are in the same building, which helps a mixed-age family event.

After Office Hours

Punggol Town Council’s office is closed on weekends and public holidays. After office hours, it lists its EMSU line, 1800-325 8888. For fire, injury or a medical emergency at any event, call 995. For police help, call 999.
