If you are enrolled in Healthier SG, the flu vaccination Punggol adults get under the national schedule costs $0 at their enrolled clinic. Otherwise, Punggol Polyclinic and CHAS GP clinics give subsidised jabs, and Minmed at Waterway Point lists its flu jab at $32 and opens until 10pm daily.
A jab takes a few minutes. A week in bed with flu takes rather longer.
This page is part of eduKate Punggol’s Essential Information for Punggol, our quick answers and where-to-go lists for everyday life in Punggol. It lists where to get a flu jab and other adult vaccines in Punggol, what you will pay under each scheme, and what changed in October 2026.

Which Clinic Fits You
You are enrolled in Healthier SG
Go to your enrolled clinic, and only there. MOH lists $0 for the national flu, hepatitis B, MMR, pneumococcal (PCV13, PCV20 and PPSV23), Tdap for pregnant women, and varicella vaccines. Shingles is the exception: you still pay, but the amount is capped.
You have a CHAS, Merdeka or Pioneer card
At a CHAS GP clinic, the capped price shown in the costs table below applies. Bring your card details so the right tier is applied.
You are a PR
MOH says PRs get subsidies for nationally recommended vaccines at polyclinics. In Punggol, that means Oasis Terraces.
You are 65 or older
The flu jab is especially recommended for you, and so is the pneumococcal vaccine. Pioneer and Merdeka Generation seniors get extra discounts at polyclinics, and Flexi-MediSave can be used from age 60.
You are pregnant
SingHealth notes that a pertussis (whooping cough) vaccine during pregnancy protects the baby. Ask your doctor when to have it.
You have diabetes, heart disease or lowered immunity
Adults under 65 with these conditions are recommended the pneumococcal vaccine, and the flu jab is recommended for adults with certain medical conditions. Our chronic care page covers your regular follow-up.
How to Get Your Flu Jab in Punggol
- Check your status. Are you enrolled in Healthier SG, and with which clinic? Do you hold a CHAS, Merdeka or Pioneer card?
- Pick the right clinic. Enrolled clinic for $0, any CHAS GP for capped prices, or the polyclinic if you are a PR.
- Book or call ahead. Minmed recommends appointments, and its walk-ins depend on vaccine stock.
- Ask what else is due. While you are there, ask about pneumococcal, Tdap or MMR if they apply to you.
- Pay the right way. MediSave can cover the co-payment for nationally recommended vaccines. It cannot be used for COVID-19 for now.
- Note the date. Minmed says flu vaccines are typically updated in April and September, so ask your doctor when your next dose is due.
What to Bring
- Your NRIC.
- Your CHAS, Merdeka Generation or Pioneer Generation card details.
- A list of your medicines and allergies.
- A note of any reaction you had to an earlier vaccine.
- Short sleeves, or a top with sleeves that roll up easily.

New for 2026 and 2027
- COVID-19 (from 12 October 2026): now part of the national adult and childhood schedules, using updated vaccines. It is recommended for people aged 60 and above, medically vulnerable people aged 6 months and above, and residents of aged-care facilities. It is fully subsidised for eligible Singapore Citizens, PRs and long-term pass holders at participating CHAS GPs, polyclinics and Mobile Vaccination Teams “until further review”. It is not MediSave-claimable for now. See CDA’s announcement.
- HPV9 (from 1 January 2027): added to the adult schedule. Adult Singapore Citizens get means-tested subsidies of up to 75%, and MediSave can be used up to the new limits of $700 or $1,000. HPV4 is no longer available.
- Measles: CDA’s measures have applied since 1 April 2026. Unvaccinated adults should get two MMR doses, available at polyclinics, GPs and private paediatric clinics.
Neighbour’s Tips
- The $0 only works at one clinic. For Healthier SG enrollees, it is your enrolled clinic. Check which clinic you enrolled with before you walk in somewhere else.
- Know your tier. The same jab can cost $9 or $35 at a CHAS GP, depending on your card.
- Call about stock. Vaccine supply changes, and Minmed says walk-ins depend on availability.
- Not keen on needles? Minmed offers a nasal spray if the doctor finds it suitable for you.
- Book for a parent. If an older relative finds clinics tiring, pick a slot when you can go along, such as an evening at Waterway Point.
- Already coughing? Our guide to haze cough, colds and flu helps you decide when to see a doctor.
If It Is Urgent
- Emergency (difficulty breathing, chest pain, or a serious allergic reaction after a jab): call 995.
- Non-emergency ambulance: call 1777.
- Flu symptoms at night: see our list of 24-hour and late-night GP clinics in Punggol.
