For a life-threatening medical emergency in Punggol, call 995 immediately. Do not wait to finish an online search, arrange a routine transport booking or compare ambulance operators. Tell the call-taker where the patient is and follow the instructions given.
As of 16 October 2026, 1777 is the non-emergency ambulance hotline, but SCDF has announced that it will cease from 1 January 2027. The closure does not affect 995 emergency services. Do not copy an undated contact list into a future care plan.
For planned non-emergency ambulance transport, SCDF directs the public to the Private Ambulance Operators information at go.gov.sg/pao for contacts and fees. For non-emergency medical advice, its guidance also lists NurseFirst at 6262 6262. Neither route replaces 995 in a life-threatening emergency.

Give a precise Punggol location
For a home address, be ready with the block, road, floor and unit. For a public place, describe the building, entrance or nearby landmark as clearly as you can.
Follow the emergency call-taker’s questions about the patient and location. Do not end the call to organise other arrangements unless instructed.
Plan routine transport before the appointment
For a non-emergency booking, ask the operator about the appointment time, pickup arrangements and the patient’s mobility or assistance needs. Describe the actual situation rather than assuming every vehicle provides the same service.
Confirm the quotation and what it includes, including any return journey or waiting arrangement. This guide does not publish a universal Punggol ambulance price or promise a booking is available.
Update contact sheets for January 2027
If you keep a family care folder, mark the announced 1777 cessation date clearly. Replace old instructions with the current official operator information before arranging travel in 2027.
Check the date on screenshots and forwarded messages. A number that appears on an older hospital handout or online article may need reconfirmation.
Keep advice and transport as separate questions
A routine transport company booking is not the same as clinical advice about whether a person needs urgent care. For non-emergency uncertainty, use an appropriate healthcare advice service.
If the situation becomes life-threatening, call 995 rather than waiting for a planned pickup. This is a contact and planning guide, not a symptom checklist or a diagnosis.
