If you lose your SIT student card, SIT’s Library FAQ gives two separate actions: inform the Registrar’s Office using the linked student instructions, and notify the Library so the card can be disabled for physical borrowing.
The Library notification email is Library@SingaporeTech.edu.sg. Start from the official lost-student-card FAQ, which links to the Registrar procedure. Follow the university’s authenticated instructions for your own account.
Do not assume a library borrowing block completes every replacement or campus-access task. The public FAQ does not publish a replacement fee, processing time or collection arrangement; obtain those details through SIT’s current procedure.

Report the loss through both routes
Open the Registrar instructions from the official FAQ and complete the required steps. Separately tell the Library that the student card is missing and request the precaution described in its guidance.
As a practical record, note when you sent each notification and keep any acknowledgement. This helps you distinguish an action you intend to take from one already completed. Do not put passwords or unnecessary identity-document copies into an ordinary enquiry.
Explain the immediate access problem
If you have an upcoming class, assessment or library task affected by the missing card, explain that specific need to the relevant university office. Ask what approved alternative applies while the matter is being resolved.
Do not borrow another person’s card or attempt to follow someone through a controlled entrance. An access difficulty is best addressed with the university’s instructions for your situation, not an improvised workaround.
Keep other missing cards separate
If a whole wallet is missing, list the actual cards it contained. Treat bank cards, transport cards and other credentials as separate reporting tasks with their own issuers.
Our SIT undergraduate concession-card guide covers the transport-card topic. Confirm which physical card you lost before applying instructions intended for another one.
Ask before paying or collecting
Use the Registrar process for current replacement requirements and charges. If an old message, a friend’s experience and the current official instructions differ, seek confirmation rather than assuming the old procedure still applies.
If the card turns up after reporting, ask SIT what to do before trying to use it again. For general campus orientation, see our SIT Punggol guide. This guide explains reporting, not an assurance that access has already been blocked or restored.
