Missed the AEIS Application Deadline: What Punggol Parents Should Do

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

If you missed the AEIS application deadline, SEAB says late applications will not be accepted. The same rule applies to S-AEIS, SPERS-Sec and SPE: applications must be made during the respective official periods.

Punggol families should first distinguish a missed application from an application already submitted and awaiting assessment. Check your Candidates Portal record and submission correspondence before deciding which problem you need to resolve.

If no application was submitted in time, review the next eligible admission exercise and your child’s schooling arrangements. Do not assume an enquiry, an old account or a document prepared before closing amounts to a completed application.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5

Check what was actually submitted

Look for the application record and official correspondence for the correct exercise year. Keep any submission or payment record available if you need to clarify what happened.

If an application exists but remains Pending, use the Pending application guide. That is a review-status question rather than a request to apply after closing.

CHAPTER 2 OF 5

What is the late-application rule?

The SEAB late-application FAQ explicitly says late applications are not accepted. Plan around that published rule.

If a technical problem occurred, describe the actual error and timing through the official support route. Reporting a problem should not be treated as a confirmed extension or accepted registration.

CHAPTER 3 OF 5

Could another exercise be suitable?

Check the current official eligibility, available entry levels and year of admission before selecting another exercise. These details matter as much as the next opening date.

For example, the S-AEIS level guide explains why the supplementary exercise cannot simply replace every AEIS plan.

CHAPTER 4 OF 5

What should our child do meanwhile?

Maintain a workable schooling and learning routine while you establish the next route. Review alternatives directly with the relevant education providers.

Identify specific English or Mathematics needs and practise steadily. Preparation is easier to organise when the family has separated the admission timetable from the child’s day-to-day learning.

CHAPTER 5 OF 5

How can we avoid another missed window?

Record the official opening and closing dates, document requirements and the date you will recheck the instructions. Assign one adult to monitor the application.

Start gathering documents early, but complete the actual application within the window. Use the next exercise’s current guidance rather than a screenshot from a previous year.
