Punggol Regional Sports Centre and One Punggol are different destinations with different booking routes. One Punggol is the community hub at 1 Punggol Drive; the sports centre is listed at 11 Sentul Crescent. If you are searching for Punggol badminton courts, swimming pools or community classes, choose the operator before choosing a time.
One Punggol Community Club has its own sports and activity spaces. The regional sports centre belongs to the Sport Singapore facility network. A court listing or confirmation for one venue does not reserve a court at the other, and SAFRA Punggol is a third separate destination.
As checked on 10 October 2026, MCCY’s published reply gives 2026 as the rescheduled sports-centre opening year. The sources reviewed for this guide do not establish a precise opening day or confirm live public bookings. For a session you intend to attend now, rely on a current operator listing and completed confirmation rather than a future-facility announcement.

Choose the venue by the activity
The easiest way to untangle the names is to start with what you want to do. Is it an informal badminton game, a coached activity, a community course or swimming? Write down that one intention before opening several booking screens.
The People’s Association describes One Punggol’s community facilities as including a multipurpose hall with four badminton courts, alongside other sports and activity spaces. Its community-club route is therefore relevant even while you are waiting for the separate regional sports centre. Check PA’s facility overview.
An advertised facility describes the building. A dated booking describes a usable session. Families need the second before packing equipment and leaving home.
Keep the three operators separate
| Destination | Start your check here | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| One Punggol Community Club | onePA | Exact facility, date, duration and booking conditions |
| Punggol Regional Sports Centre | Sport Singapore / ActiveSG | Opening notice and a live listing for the specific facility |
| SAFRA Punggol | SAFRA or the named tenant | Admission, membership category and activity-specific arrangements |
Do not infer shared entry rights from neighbouring buildings. An activity provider may use its own registration or payment process, even when its premises sit inside a familiar hub.
What the sports-centre announcement tells you
MCCY’s 11 November 2024 reply says construction began in 2020, with the original 2023 opening delayed by pandemic-related material and labour shortages. It moves the opening to 2026; it does not supply a daily timetable or a booking-release date. Read the official reply.
Sport Singapore’s published tenant handbook identifies the Sentul Crescent address and a planned mix of swimming, stadium, indoor sport, fitness and other facilities. That planning document is useful context, but it is not a public admission schedule. Sport-centre handbook.
Keep plans flexible. If the exact facility has no confirmed session, select an available alternative instead of treating an estimated opening year as a reservation.
Before paying for a court or class
Read the venue name, court or room identifier, date, start time and duration together. Then check who is allowed to use the booking, what equipment is included, whether a coach is part of the session and what happens if you cancel.
For a group, agree on payment and attendance before one person books. A booking for a short game and enrolment in a recurring course are different commitments. Save the receipt where the arriving adult or student can find it without searching through a long chat.
Tell friends the exact venue rather than saying only ‘Punggol sports hub’. Include the address and the booked facility in the message. Clear language prevents a surprisingly ordinary mistake: everyone reaches Punggol, but half the group reaches the wrong building.
Build a manageable student routine
An after-school activity works best when the child can arrive, participate and return without squeezing out dinner or necessary schoolwork. Plan the whole journey, including changing and waiting, instead of counting only court time.
For a first visit, choose one confirmed activity and keep the rest optional. If a family member wants a library stop or a meal, arrange it around the session rather than forcing several destinations into the same hour.
Once the route feels familiar, a student can gradually take responsibility for checking the booking, carrying equipment and telling the family when the session finishes.
Quick questions and onward guides
Is One Punggol the new regional sports centre? No. Use the separate destination names and operator listings.
Can I book the regional centre based on a 2026 opening article? An opening-year article is not a booking. Check the live operator listing and obtain confirmation.
