Waterway Point Food Guide 2026 | Restaurants, Food Court, Halal, Grab & Go & Late Food

Waterway Point food changes too quickly for a responsible article to promise a permanent list of every restaurant, food court and kiosk. Tenants move, menus change and individual outlet hours differ from the mall’s general opening time. The useful guide is therefore a decision map: where to go for a full family meal, quick takeaway, halal food, coffee, healthier choices, supper, groceries or a meal before a movie—then hand the exact live tenant roster to Waterway Point’s official directory.

Waterway Point is at 83 Punggol Central, Singapore 828761, directly connected to Punggol MRT/LRT and Punggol Bus Interchange. The mall currently opens from 10am to 10pm, but individual food tenants can open earlier or close later. For example, the current Encik Tan listing operates 24 hours, while DON DON DONKI currently runs to midnight. Always check the individual store page when timing matters.

As of 26 September 2026, the mall’s official dining directory is organised into four broad food categories: Cafés & Restaurants, Grab & Go, Market Fresh and Halal Delights. That structure is more durable than copying a long static tenant table into a blog post.

The official directory should own the full tenant list

Waterway Point’s official Eat directory lets visitors search live food, drinks and fresh-food tenants by category. This page should not try to replace that system.

Use this article to decide what kind of meal you need. Use the mall directory to confirm which exact outlet is there today.

Full family meals

Waterway Point has a large table-service restaurant layer. Current official store pages include examples such as Din Tai Fung, Sanook Kitchen, Genki Sushi, Hototogisu Ramen and other Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai and Western concepts.

Din Tai Fung is currently at West Wing #01-22 and opens 11am–9pm daily. This illustrates why the individual tenant page matters: the restaurant’s hours differ from the mall’s 10am–10pm general schedule.

Halal family meals

The official Waterway Point directory has a dedicated Halal Delights category. Current official store pages identify halal outlets including:

  • Encik Tan — East Wing #B2-03; currently listed as halal and 24 hours;
  • Sanook Kitchen — West Wing #B1-13; current halal Thai restaurant listing;
  • Stuff’d — West Wing #B2-K01; current halal grab-and-go listing;
  • Subway — East Wing #B1-16; current halal listing with breakfast-to-evening hours;
  • other current halal-delights tenants shown in the official mall directory.

For the wider town and the MUIS-verification method, use Halal Food in Punggol 2026.

Food court: Cookhouse by Koufu

Waterway Point’s own visitor page currently lists Cookhouse by Koufu among the mall’s notable food tenants. A food-court layer matters because it gives families a lower-friction option when different people want different cuisines or budgets.

Food-court stall rosters can change. Use current on-site or official-directory information for the individual stall rather than assuming an old photo still represents the full mix.

Grab & Go

The mall’s Grab & Go category is useful for parents between school runs, teenagers meeting before a movie, commuters leaving the MRT and anyone who does not want a full restaurant meal.

Current examples include takeaway sandwich, kebab/burrito, bakery, drink, dessert and snack operators. Stuff’d is a good example of a configurable grab-and-go format: choose the base, filling and toppings rather than ordering one fixed dish.

Breakfast before the mall fully wakes up

The mall’s headline opening time is 10am, but some food outlets open earlier. Current official examples include:

  • Subway — 8.30am weekdays and 8am weekends/public holidays;
  • DON DON DONKI — 9am–midnight;
  • Encik Tan — currently listed 24 hours;
  • other externally accessible or separately scheduled tenants.

This is why “mall opens at 10am” does not mean “no food before 10am”. Check the individual tenant page.

Late food after 10pm

The reverse is also true. Selected operators can remain open after the mall’s general 10pm closing time.

Current official examples include DON DON DONKI to midnight and Encik Tan around the clock. Other late-hour branches can change, so use Late-Night Supper in Punggol for the town-wide after-10pm route.

Coffee and café meetings

Waterway Point is Punggol’s easiest meeting-café location because both people can arrive directly by MRT/LRT without a last-mile ride. Current café brands include Starbucks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and other café/bakery operators.

The mall also provides public Wi-Fi and mobile charging stations, which helps short work sessions. For longer laptop sessions, the Punggol Regional Library or a quieter neighbourhood café may be more considerate.

Use Best Cafés in Punggol for the wider town.

Japanese food

Waterway Point has one of Punggol’s strongest Japanese-food clusters because several restaurant and takeaway concepts operate in the same mall. Current directory examples include sushi, ramen, curry, Japanese-market food, yakitori/takeaway and DON DON DONKI’s ready-to-eat layer.

This is useful for groups because one person can choose a restaurant while another picks up dessert or groceries afterward without changing location.

Chinese food

Current official listings include Chinese restaurant formats such as Din Tai Fung and other soup, seafood, roast/meat, noodles and local-Chinese concepts. Encik Tan provides a halal Chinese-style hawker format at the lower-price end.

Thai food

Sanook Kitchen is currently one of the clearest halal Thai restaurant options in the mall, with official hours of 11am–10pm daily.

Spicy / mala

Gong Yuan Ma La Tang is currently at West Wing #02-21, opening 11am–10pm with a 9.30pm last order. Its official page lists several soup bases, including a vegetarian-friendly soup alongside meat-based options.

“Vegetarian-friendly soup” is not the same as “dedicated vegetarian restaurant”. Diners with strict dietary requirements should ask about ingredients and preparation.

Healthier / configurable meals

No mall meal is automatically “healthy” because it contains vegetables. But some formats make portion and ingredient choices more visible.

  • Subway: choose bread, vegetables, protein, sauces and portion format;
  • Stuff’d: choose burrito/kebab/bowl-style components and toppings;
  • An Acai Affair: current mall tenant offering acai-based bowls/desserts;
  • Gong Yuan Ma La Tang: choose ingredients and a vegetarian-friendly soup where appropriate;
  • supermarket / DON DON DONKI ready-to-eat choices for families wanting more control.

The last Food-cluster owner, Vegetarian & Healthier Eating in Punggol, will take this question town-wide rather than pretending Waterway Point is the only answer.

Dessert and drinks

Waterway Point’s Grab & Go and Cafés & Restaurants categories include bubble tea, yogurt, coffee, cakes, ice cream/dessert and bakery choices. These change frequently, so the official Eat directory should own the full live list.

Before a movie

Waterway Point’s Shaw Theatres complex currently has 11 screens including IMAX. For a movie meal, the most useful strategy is not “find the best restaurant” but match the time:

  • 30 minutes available — grab-and-go;
  • 60 minutes — food court / quick restaurant;
  • 90+ minutes — table-service restaurant;
  • after movie near closing time — check late individual tenant hours before the show starts.

With young children

  • choose a venue with fast service or reservations;
  • use the mall’s family / accessibility facilities;
  • avoid long weekend queues where possible;
  • keep one reliable fallback food the child accepts;
  • do not spend the entire family outing searching for the “perfect” restaurant.

With teenagers

Waterway Point works well for teenagers because food sits next to movies, transport, shops and friends. Grab-and-go food, bubble tea, fast casual dining and cinema meals often matter more than formal restaurant quality.

With seniors

Direct MRT access, lifts, seating, toilets and a broad range of meal formats make Waterway Point one of Punggol’s easiest multi-generation dining locations. Choose the quieter pre-peak lunch or early dinner window where possible.

SIT students

Waterway Point currently runs an SIT Students Privilege Program 2026 with participating dining and retail tenants through 30 December 2026. The published list includes food businesses such as An Acai Affair, Genki Sushi, Hototogisu Ramen, Monster Curry, PlayMade and others.

Promotions change; check the current programme before deciding where to eat because of a discount.

Fresh food and ready-to-eat groceries

Waterway Point’s food role extends beyond restaurants. The mall currently includes a 24-hour FairPrice Finest and DON DON DONKI, which operates 9am–midnight. This gives residents a fresh-food and prepared-food layer even when a restaurant meal is not needed.

The directory rule

For any exact question—“Is Restaurant X still there?”, “What unit is Store Y?”, “Does it close at 9 or 10?”—use the official Waterway Point directory first.

  • Tenant roster → official directory.
  • Opening hours → individual store page.
  • Halal certification → MUIS where required.
  • Promotions → mall / store current promotion page.
  • Use-case decision → this guide.

Official current sources

Last checked: 26 September 2026. Tenant mix, unit numbers, offers and opening hours can change.

Continue eating around Punggol

Waterway Point should not need a frozen restaurant spreadsheet. Use the mall’s live directory for the changing tenant list and use this page for the part a directory cannot answer: what kind of food experience fits the people, time and route you have today.
