Waterway Point Wheelchair Loan | Plan the Route From Punggol MRT to Concierge

Walking route between Waterway Point and Punggol MRT station.

Waterway Point lists wheelchair loan as a visitor amenity. Its concierge is at West Wing, Level 2. From Punggol MRT/LRT (NE17/PTC), the mall directs visitors to Exit A. Before travelling, ask concierge about availability, loan conditions and the step-free route from the station or your arrival point.

If someone needs the wheelchair as soon as they reach the mall, plan the handover before setting out. With two accompanying adults, one can check in at concierge while the other waits with the visitor at an agreed spot. With one companion, ask the mall how to arrange collection without an extra walk.

  • Contact the mall about wheelchair availability and collection before you travel.
  • Use Punggol MRT/LRT Exit A and check the lift route to West Wing, Level 2.
  • Save the wing, level and unit of the place you plan to visit.
  • Check when and where the wheelchair must be returned.

Find out what applies to your visit

Tell concierge when you expect to arrive and what part of the route you need help with. Ask whether the wheelchair is available at that time, whether you can reserve it and what details or documents the mall needs. Also ask how long you may use it and when it must be returned. A listing for the amenity is a starting point, while the mall can confirm what applies to the visit.

If your trip includes an appointment elsewhere in the mall, give concierge the outlet or clinic name. Ask which lift serves that wing and level, and whether there are any temporary changes to the route. If the visit depends on a wheelchair being available, agree what you will do if the mall cannot supply one on the day.

Find West Wing, Level 2 from your arrival point

If you are coming by MRT

Use Punggol station and look for Exit A. Follow the current station and mall signage for step-free access. Once inside, check the directory for West Wing and a lift route to Level 2. The wing and the level are both important. A lift to Level 2 in another part of the mall can leave you with more walking before you reach concierge.

If somebody is already at the mall, ask them to send a landmark or meet you at an agreed point. If the person using the chair wants to wait while a companion goes ahead, choose a place they are comfortable with and that leaves the passage clear. Share the exact spot rather than asking them to move to a new point while you are away.

If you are arriving by car or taxi

Check the current designated drop-off location and ask the mall which step-free route leads from there to concierge. A car park lift and the station connection are different starting points. Give the driver a named arrival point rather than using the mall’s general address alone. If a driver plans to park after dropping off the group, agree where to regroup before separating.

SECTION 3 OF 4

Plan the visit around one main stop

Back to contents

Choose the first shop, restaurant or appointment and check its current wing and level. If the destination is across the mall, identify the lift route and ask about seating or any facilities the visitor wants to use. Leave time for lift waits, a toilet break and the return to concierge. Give the person using the wheelchair the choice of whether to add another stop.

For example, a family coming for a meal can save the restaurant’s unit, confirm access and then arrange the loan. When lunch ends, return the wheelchair according to the mall’s instructions and proceed to the station or pickup point. If the visitor needs support for that final leg, ask concierge about it when first arranging the loan. This avoids learning the return conditions just as the group is ready to leave.
