SIT’s Library facilities page lists student meeting rooms on W1 Level 4 and three student seminar rooms on Level 6. It links to the Resource Booking System, or RBS, for reservations.
Use the official facilities page and open the live booking record for the room you need. Confirm the room name, capacity, access conditions and available time there before organising a group.
These student facilities are distinct from public venue hire or a general campus visit. Seeing a room online is not a completed reservation or permission to invite outside participants.

Match the room to the task
Decide whether you need discussion space, a presentation setup or quiet individual work before searching. The simplest suitable space may be enough for a short planning meeting.
Check the actual capacity and equipment in the booking system rather than relying on a generic room description. If a screen, whiteboard or connection cable is essential, confirm it before making the room central to your plan.
Check the complete reservation
Follow the current RBS process and retain the confirmation. Read the date, start and finish times, room identifier and any check-in or cancellation instructions.
Agree on the time with your group before finalising a booking. If the arrangement changes, follow the system’s procedure promptly rather than leaving an unused slot unavailable to others.
Give the meeting a useful outcome
As practical preparation, send the group a short agenda and decide what should exist by the end: an outline, a task allocation or a set of questions for the lecturer.
Keep the final few minutes for recording decisions and the next action. A reserved room creates a place to work; a clear purpose and usable notes help make the time worthwhile.
Keep access and event permission separate
If you intend to hold an event, bring visitors or do something beyond an ordinary student discussion, ask the Library which approval route applies. Do not assume a normal room booking covers every intended use.
Use our SIT Punggol guide for campus orientation. For your actual reservation, the current RBS record and university instructions remain the relevant references.
