How can you check whether a Punggol preschool is SPARK certified? ECDA directs parents to the LifeSG app’s preschool search and the centre’s “Scheme and certification” information.
In LifeSG, open Services and choose Search for Preschools. Enter your location, preschool level and intended enrolment month, then open View details for the centre.
Scroll to Scheme and certification to check the SPARK information. Make sure you are viewing the particular centre you are considering, rather than assuming information about one branch applies to every branch.
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Use the official checking route
The ECDA SPARK-checking instructions give the search steps and the section to look for.
App labels can change. If your screen differs, look for the centre’s detailed listing and ask for help if you cannot locate the certification information.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Match the centre carefully
Check the centre name and location before recording a result. Keep the date you checked alongside your shortlist.
A similar name or shared operator is not a reason to skip checking the actual centre. Ask the preschool to clarify any detail that appears inconsistent.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Ask what the information means
If certification information is unclear, ask the principal to explain the centre’s current status and direct you to the relevant official information.
Avoid turning an unclear listing into a conclusion about your child’s experience. Resolve the factual question before using it in a comparison.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Continue the programme conversation
Use the check alongside questions about daily routines, learning goals and communication. Certification information does not explain every arrangement your family needs.
Our preschool programme-plan guide helps organise those questions.
Information checked on 14 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s situation.
