Already completed your Punggol preschool’s electronic enrolment form but received a LifeSG subsidy form? ECDA explains that these forms have different purposes, so the enrolment form does not replace the subsidy application.
The centre’s enrolment form facilitates your child’s enrolment. LifeSG is the direct application to ECDA for preschool subsidies or Kindergarten Fee Assistance Scheme (KiFAS), with different information fields.
Some overlapping details are transferred from the preschool’s electronic enrolment form to LifeSG to reduce repeated entry. Check those details and complete the remaining prompts rather than assuming enrolment alone finishes the process.
In this guide
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Separate place and assistance
The ECDA explanation of the two forms distinguishes joining the preschool from applying for fee assistance.
Keep records of both tasks. A centre’s enrolment confirmation should not be used as a substitute for checking your subsidy application progress.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Review transferred information
ECDA says some overlapping fields are carried over to minimise duplication. That does not mean every field in the subsidy application was already completed.
Read the information shown before submitting. If the child, programme or other detail seems wrong, ask the preschool how to resolve it.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Complete the relevant prompts
Work through the LifeSG application instructions and note any step that needs another person’s action. Ask about a confusing field instead of guessing.
Keep a record of completion and any information requested afterwards. This makes it easier to explain where you are in the process.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Follow up on the correct task
When asking for help, say whether the problem concerns enrolment, access to LifeSG, or the subsidy outcome. Giving the centre the right question helps focus its response.
If you are waiting for assessment, see our subsidy application status guide.
Information checked on 12 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s application.
