Punggol parents completing LifeSG Form 1 will see HOMES consent choices about which participating schemes may use and share personal information for eligibility assessment. Read the choices before selecting an option.
ECDA describes two options: all HOMES Participating Schemes, or all schemes administered by MSF and ECDA. The difference is the scope of schemes allowed to access the information needed for assessment.
This choice is not a shortcut to a larger preschool subsidy. Use the option that reflects your intended consent, and ask for clarification if the wording is unclear.
In this guide
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Understand the wider option
ECDA’s HOMES consent guidance explains that the all-participating-schemes option permits those schemes to access personal information needed to assess eligibility.
You can consult the official participating schemes page when reading the form. Do not infer the scope from the option’s short label alone.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Understand the MSF and ECDA option
The other option limits access for eligibility assessment to schemes administered by MSF and ECDA, as described in ECDA’s answer.
Compare the two choices with the actual consent wording displayed in your application. This guide explains the distinction rather than choosing consent on your behalf.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Read each person’s prompts
Follow the form’s instructions for the applicant, spouse and relevant family members. Keep consent decisions separate from gathering household details.
If someone cannot complete a prompted step, ask the preschool about that particular situation. Do not assume that helping with the form lets you make every declaration for another person.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Keep a record of questions
Before submitting, note any clause you want explained and ask a focused question about its meaning or scope. Avoid sending sensitive household information through unnecessary channels.
Keep your application records together so you can identify the consent step you completed if a follow-up query arrives.
Information checked on 12 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s application.
