To withdraw your child from AEIS, SEAB asks for a written request that includes the reasons for withdrawal. Its FAQ gives the same instruction for S-AEIS, SPERS-Sec and SPE tests.
The fees for these exercises are non-refundable. Punggol parents should account for that rule when deciding whether to withdraw; submitting a withdrawal request does not create a right to recover the fee.
Identify the exercise, child’s application reference and reason before contacting SEAB through an official channel. Keep the request and response together so that everyone in the family understands the next step.

Can the examination fee be refunded?
What information should I include?
CHAPTER 1 OF 5
What does SEAB require?
The official withdrawal FAQ requires a written request and reasons. Use that instruction rather than assuming a missed test is the same as requesting withdrawal.
Explain the family’s decision clearly. There is no need to guess at a special phrase or invent a reason to make the request sound more persuasive.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Can the examination fee be refunded?
SEAB states that the fees are non-refundable. Read this before finalising the decision so the family budget reflects the published rule.
Other bookings, such as travel or preparation classes, have their own cancellation terms. Check those arrangements directly with the providers instead of applying SEAB’s fee rule to them.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
What information should I include?
As a practical starting point, identify the exercise and application reference, state that you wish to withdraw, and explain why. Follow any additional information requested by SEAB.
Use the official SEAB enquiry channel or the channel specified in your exercise correspondence. Send personal documents only where officially requested.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
What should I do after sending?
Retain the written request and monitor the registered email account for a response. If clarification is required, reply using the same reference and explain the outstanding question.
Do not assume that sending a message settles a separate school offer or another admission application. Ask about the specific record you need clarified.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
How should we plan the next route?
If withdrawal is part of a changed schooling plan, confirm the alternative’s admission and reporting arrangements before organising the child’s new routine.
If you may apply in a later exercise, check that exercise’s eligibility and deadlines afresh. Keep English and Mathematics learning steady while the family decides what is practical.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions for your child’s exercise year and individual application.
