A missing health-consent option in the HPB Consent Portal is not automatically an error for a Secondary 1 boy. HPB’s help page says a boy who received all his primary-school vaccines does not need vaccines in Secondary 1, so the portal may show dental consent and medical information without health consent.
This explanation is conditional on the child’s vaccination history. Punggol parents should check their son’s record and the relevant school or HPB notice rather than conclude from the missing option that every vaccination or health requirement is complete.
Review the information that is available in the portal and ask HPB about any mismatch with an actual consent request. This guide explains what the missing option can mean, what remains worth checking and how to describe the problem clearly.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Check HPB’s specific explanation
Read HPB’s explanation for Secondary 1 boys. It distinguishes health consent from the dental-consent and medical-information sections.
Check that your situation matches the page: the child is a boy entering or attending Secondary 1, and the question concerns the absent health-consent option.
Do not use this answer as a rule for all children or all school years. A different pupil profile or a specific procedure request may need a different answer.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Check the child’s vaccination history
Gather any vaccination records held by the family, especially if some vaccinations were received overseas or the child missed a school visit.
If the history is incomplete or uncertain, ask HPB how to clarify it. The portal display alone cannot establish which doses an individual child has received.
Questions about whether a particular vaccination is due should be answered by HPB or the relevant healthcare professional using the child’s actual record.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Review medical information and dental consent
Use the official HPB Consent Portal. The absence of one consent option does not mean the other available sections should be ignored.
HPB’s medical-information and consent guide explains profile setup, medical details, allergies, vaccinations and the final submission.
Review the information carefully before submitting. If the family needs to correct medical information, use the portal’s advised editing process rather than create a conflicting second account.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Compare the portal with the notice
If the school or HPB has asked for health consent, keep that notice and compare its wording with what the portal shows. Check the child, school year and service named.
Record the exact issue: whether the child’s profile is missing, a section is unavailable or a submitted choice does not appear as expected. These are different problems.
Ask through HPB’s official help route and provide the relevant details securely. Avoid posting a child’s identification or medical record in a public group to troubleshoot the account.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Keep a clear record of the resolution
Save the submission confirmation where provided and note any advice received. If an update is needed before a school visit, ask when it should be completed.
Tell the school if you need help identifying the service requested in its notice. For a portal or vaccination-record question, follow the HPB guidance that applies to the child.
Our school dental consent guide covers the related dental process. Check each service separately and use the child’s own record when clarifying an apparent missing option.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
