Find a Punggol school booklist through the child’s own school website or its current parent notice. Match the school, academic year, class level and subject requirements before ordering. A booklist from another school or a previous intake can lead to unnecessary purchases.
Punggol Green Primary publishes separate booklists by primary level, with additional Foundation and Higher Mother Tongue lists where applicable. Punggol Secondary publishes level-specific lists and ordering instructions. Use these as examples of why one general list cannot cover every child.
If you are buying for the next academic year, wait for that year’s confirmed list or ask the school when it will be available. This guide explains how Punggol parents can select the correct books, check what can be reused and resolve missing or uncertain items.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Locate the school’s official page
Start with the school’s parent resources or admissions notice. For example, Punggol Green Primary’s 2026 page links its lists by level and relevant subject provision.
Check the heading on the downloaded file as well as the webpage. Search engines can show an older PDF even when a newer page exists.
Save the relevant file with its school, level and year in the filename. This makes it easier for another adult helping with purchases to use the same list.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Match the child’s subjects
Confirm the child’s Mother Tongue Language, applicable subject level and any school instructions about additional books. If a subject allocation is not yet confirmed, ask before buying that section.
For secondary school, do not assume every subject follows the same level because of the child’s Posting Group. Use the school’s actual subject information and booklist.
Mark unclear entries and send the school or bookshop a short question naming the title and list section. Avoid solving an uncertainty by buying every alternative.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Separate new purchases from reusable items
Check the title, edition, volume and ISBN where supplied. A book with a similar cover or subject name may still be a different edition or part.
Ask which textbooks can be reused from a sibling and which workbooks need a fresh copy. Do not assume a workbook full of written answers is suitable for the next child.
Read any optional-item labels carefully. Ask what an optional resource is used for if the family is deciding whether it is needed; the core school list and a revision shopping list serve different purposes.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Follow the school’s ordering instructions
Punggol Secondary’s 2026 page provides its ordering route and describes home delivery with charges or collection at the school bookshop. Other schools may use different suppliers or arrangements.
Check the current ordering window, collection requirements and delivery terms through your own school’s notice. Use the supplier link reached from the official school page.
Keep the order confirmation and compare the received items against it. Photograph or note a missing or incorrect item before contacting the supplier.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Prepare for the first school week
Follow the school’s instructions on labelling and which books to bring. A complete set does not mean the child should carry every book every day.
If a required item is unavailable, inform the school and ask about the temporary arrangement. Keep the supplier’s expected availability date so the family can follow up.
Our school information checking guide helps identify official notices. For book buying, confirm the right year and subjects first, then order and check the delivery.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
