Punggol parents can give school dental consent through HPB’s Child Consent Portal, using the official link and Singpass. Read the School Dental Service information, check the correct child’s details and complete the consent form shown for your child.
HPB’s current guidance lists dental care among the services requiring consent for primary and secondary students. Health screening, vaccination consent and dental consent have different requirements, so read each item separately instead of assuming that one response covers every school health service.
If you cannot see a form or are unsure whether consent is needed this year, consult HPB’s portal guidance and the school notice before resubmitting. This Punggol school dental guide explains the access routes, the checks before submission and what to do with follow-up instructions.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Start from the official consent link
Use HPB’s official Child Consent Portal link. HPB’s access guide explains direct login with Singpass and the alternative route through HealthHub.
Through HealthHub, the published route is Health Profiles, your child’s name, then School under Child Details and Consent for school and dental health. Follow the current on-screen instructions if menu wording changes.
Check that the child selected is the one named in the school notice. When you have more than one child, review each child’s applicable form. Keep Singpass login details and verification codes private.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Read the dental consent information
Open the information for the School Dental Service and read what the form covers. Check the requested response rather than treating consent as a routine box to tick. If you have a question about the service or an individual concern, use HPB’s official support route.
HPB’s consent requirements guide distinguishes dental care and vaccinations from screening. It says students are automatically enrolled for screening, with a separate consent step to opt back in after a previous opt-out.
Follow the notice issued for your child’s cohort and school visit. Do not reuse a dated letter for another school year without checking the current requirements.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Check information before submitting
Review the child’s identity and any medical-information fields presented. Answer accurately using the information you have. If you are uncertain about a medical detail, clarify it with the relevant healthcare professional or HPB rather than guessing.
Check the consent choice before completing submission. Keep the confirmation or reference provided by the portal if available, and note when you submitted it. This helps if the school later asks you to confirm completion.
Tell the school or dental team through the designated channel if there is a concern that needs discussion before the visit. Use a private channel for the child’s health information rather than a general parent group.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
If no form appears or access fails
A blank list of forms does not automatically mean an error. HPB’s consent guide advises checking whether consent is needed in that year when nothing appears under View consent. Follow the linked guidance or ask HPB if the school’s request and portal display do not match.
Record whether the problem happens during Singpass login, child selection or form submission. Include the error wording and the time of the attempt when seeking support. A precise description is easier to investigate.
Ask the school how to proceed if its deadline is close. Do not assume that sending a message to the teacher has replaced the HPB consent submission. Confirm the next step through the official channel.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Follow up after the school visit
Read any message, referral or appointment instruction sent after the visit. A consent submission and a follow-up appointment are different tasks. Put any required action into the family calendar and confirm who will accompany the child.
If a Student Dental Centre appointment is needed, consult the official centre information for booking and what to bring. It explains that appointments are required and encourages a parent or guardian to accompany the child because treatment consent may be needed.
For the school-day arrangements around an outside appointment, our Punggol appointment-day guide helps organise dismissal, transport and learning follow-up. Confirm dental decisions and individual care questions with the dental team.
Information checked on 10 October 2026. Follow the current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
