If your child is injured during a school activity, arrange appropriate care, tell the school and keep the treatment documents. Punggol parents can check the school’s Group Personal Accident (GPA) insurance instructions and submit a claim through Income’s student claim portal.
School accident insurance works within policy conditions and benefit limits. It does not guarantee reimbursement of every bill. Punggol Green Primary’s guidance explains that parents pay for treatment first and then seek reimbursement; Punggol View Primary also publishes the online claim route.
Start the paperwork promptly. Income’s current student GPA information states that claims must be submitted within 365 days of the accident. This guide explains how to organise the incident details, use the correct portal and follow up without confusing a school accident report with an insurance claim.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Find your school’s current claim route
Open the school’s official website or ask its general office for the current insurance notice. Punggol View Primary’s claim page links the student portal and explains its submission requirements.
Punggol Green Primary’s GPA page explains coverage and reimbursement. Use these as local examples; families at other schools should confirm the policy applicable to their child.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Record the incident clearly
Write a short factual account while the details are fresh: when and where it happened, which activity the child was doing and who was informed. If a detail is uncertain, identify it as uncertain rather than fill the gap.
Tell the school through its normal reporting channel. Ask whether any school information is needed for the claim, then keep that correspondence alongside the treatment records.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Keep the treatment and payment records
Retain bills, receipts and any documents the claim form requests. Check that uploaded files are readable and that the dates and child’s particulars match the incident.
Read Income’s current benefit conditions before assuming a treatment is covered. The page lists sub-limits, treatment conditions and exclusions; a headline coverage amount is not the amount payable for every expense.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Submit and save the acknowledgement
Enter the student GPA claim portal through the school or insurer’s official link. Complete the requested information and check attachments before submission.
Save the claim number and acknowledgement. Income says complete documents are needed for assessment, so respond to a request for further information rather than assume submission alone completes the process.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Follow up on the claim and school return
Income’s claim-status instructions use the student’s date of birth and claim number. Keep those details available for your own enquiry, and avoid sharing them in a parent chat.
If another insurer has settled part of a bill, tell Income and follow its settlement-document instructions. Separately, give school any clinician’s instructions affecting attendance or activities so the child’s return can be planned.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
