After passport approval, Punggol residents should follow ICA’s notification and make a collection appointment within one month of approval. ICA’s collection guidance says uncollected passports are cancelled after three months, without refund of the passport fee.

Passport collection may be at ICA Services Centre or a selected post office if you are eligible. The post-office option is offered through eAppointment; do not assume that any Punggol post office can issue your passport without an approved booking.

For your own passport collection, ICA’s document FAQ lists a physical or digital IC and your current passport if it was valid when you applied. Read the notification email for the requirements that apply to your appointment before leaving home.

Book the location actually offered

Choose from the collection options shown for your application. Save the confirmed location, date and time rather than relying on a nearby branch’s ordinary opening hours.

For a trip from Punggol, plan the journey to that exact location. A shop name or a map pin is not a substitute for the collection address in your booking.

Prepare your documents together

Use the approval email and ICA’s collection-document FAQ to make a checklist. Put the required documents together before the appointment.

Check that any digital document you need is accessible on your device. Do not discover at the counter that a file was saved on another phone or that your device has no remaining battery.

If collecting for a child

The document FAQ lists the child’s original or digital birth certificate, the consenting parent’s physical or digital IC and the child’s current passport if valid when applying.

ICA says children below six need not be physically present for collection; other ages must attend. If another adult will accompany a child, check the specific authorisation arrangements rather than assuming ordinary proxy collection is permitted.

Finish the collection task

Keep the confirmation available during the journey and allow time to locate the correct service point. If your plans change, use the official appointment route rather than assuming a walk-in will resolve it.

After collection, store the passport securely and update your household travel checklist. This guide does not verify live appointment availability or the eligibility of any particular Punggol collection branch.
