If your child loses a School Smart Card in Punggol, arrange a safe way home, report the loss through the official transport-card service and apply for a replacement. SimplyGo’s replacement page includes a dedicated School Smart Card option. Inform the school if the missing card also affects a school activity or daily routine.
For Punggol parents replacing a student concession card, check the current application instructions, identification requirements, collection method and charges before starting. A standard travel card, a School Smart Card and a bank-linked payment device can have different replacement processes.
Keep the report and application references, then plan the child’s travel while waiting. This guide explains the steps to take without assuming that every card can be replaced at every ticket office or that a replacement is immediately available.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Secure the journey and identify the missing card
First confirm where the child is and how they will get home. If they are already at school, ask the school how to help with the immediate journey or collection arrangement. Give the child a clear adult contact rather than leaving them to improvise.
Check the card type. A School Smart Card carries student concession eligibility; a POSB Smart Buddy device or another payment card is a separate product. If a whole wallet is missing, list each item and follow the relevant provider’s process for each.
Ask the child when they last used the card and check obvious locations such as the bag pocket or school lost-and-found. Keep the search practical while you organise the loss report and travel arrangements.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Use the official loss and replacement route
An official school FAQ advises reporting a lost School Smart Card to the transport-card operator. Use the current SimplyGo website or official app for the applicable loss-report instructions.
The lost concession card replacement page provides a School Smart Card application link and information for replacement at a SimplyGo Ticketing Service Centre. Select the correct card category.
Record the confirmation and reference provided. If the card turns up after you have reported it, ask the operator what its status is before trying to use it again. Do not assume that finding the physical card reverses the report.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Check documents, collection and charges
Read the instructions for your chosen replacement method before travelling to a counter. Check whose identification is needed, whether an adult may act for the child and which location offers that service.
Use the current application page or operator support channel for replacement charges and any balance or concession-pass questions. Older school letters can use previous service names or fee schedules.
SimplyGo notes that kiosk collection does not allow a change of the card’s name or photo and uses the original photo. If details need correcting, ask the operator which process to use before selecting collection.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Plan the waiting period
Agree how the child will travel until the replacement is available. Ask the operator what fare arrangements apply to the alternative payment method; do not assume a different card will automatically charge student fares.
If the school uses the card for an additional function, ask the general office how that task will be handled temporarily. Transport replacement and a school’s internal arrangements may need separate follow-up.
Check application status through the official route and retain the collection instructions. Allow time for the journey to collect the card, especially if the location differs from the child’s usual route.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Set up a simple card routine
After receiving the replacement, check the name and follow the operator’s instructions for using it. Ask about any remaining balance or pass issue that was not resolved during replacement.
Choose one secure place for the card and practise returning it there after tapping. A short check before leaving home and after returning is often easier to sustain than searching the whole bag each morning.
For families changing transport arrangements, our Punggol school bus guide covers a different service. Keep public-transport concession cards and school-bus bookings clearly separate.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow current official and school instructions for your child’s individual arrangements.
