FAS Approved: How Do Punggol Parents Collect Textbooks and Uniforms?

After MOE FAS is approved, ask your child’s school for its textbook and uniform collection instructions before placing a normal retail order. Confirm the approval year, required documents, collection route and items included.

Schools can use different procedures. Peicai Secondary’s published 2026 instructions, for example, direct families with approval from a primary or sibling’s school to its general office for collection slips before collecting books and uniforms.

Punggol families should follow their own school’s current notice, especially during the move to Secondary 1. This guide explains how to prepare the correct booklist and sizes, handle an approval already issued elsewhere and ask about purchases made before approval.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5

Read the approval and school notice together

Confirm that the assistance notice covers the relevant child and period. Then check the school’s separate practical instructions for receiving the items.

Peicai’s 2026 collection page illustrates why the FAS route can differ from ordinary purchase arrangements. Its published collection dates were for the start of that school year; do not reuse them for a future intake.

CHAPTER 2 OF 5

Clarify approval issued through another school

If a primary school or sibling’s school handled the application, show the approval to the child’s receiving school through its instructed channel. Ask what verification it needs.

Peicai’s example requests an approval letter and student card for the related setup. Your school may give different instructions, so check before travelling to collect.

CHAPTER 3 OF 5

Use the correct booklist

Match the child’s level, subjects and language with the school’s current booklist. Identify retained books and any separately marked items before collecting the package.

Ask which entries are covered and which need separate payment. An optional item appearing on a booklist should not automatically be treated as a FAS entitlement.

CHAPTER 4 OF 5

Confirm sizes and collection arrangements

Prepare the child’s uniform sizes and check the school or vendor’s exchange procedure. Ask whether an appointment or collection slip is needed.

Keep the collection acknowledgement and check the supplied books and garments promptly. If something is missing or the wrong size, use the stated follow-up route while the details are fresh.

CHAPTER 5 OF 5

If items were already bought

Keep the receipts and explain to school exactly what was purchased and when. Ask whether reimbursement or another arrangement applies to those items; do not assume the whole shopping total will be repaid.

Our booklist guide helps identify the right list. If assistance is still pending, ask school how the child can obtain essential materials while waiting.
