How Can G3 Business Tuition Help My Child Justify a Recommendation with Case Evidence?

Three learners review open books together at a classroom table, with stacks of textbooks, stationery and a whiteboard in the bright room.

Did you know? A Business answer can list sensible advantages and still leave the recommendation unconvincing. G3 Business tuition can help your child choose an option by using the case evidence, comparing consequences and explaining which consideration matters most.

Start by asking, “Why is this the better option for this particular business?” If the answer could fit any company, your child may need support with application and judgement rather than more definitions.

The 2027 SEC G3 Business code is K344, available to candidates from schools approved to offer it. Confirm the exact subject and provider’s expertise. This is a distinct subject from G1 Elements of Business Skills and Principles of Accounts.

Keep case evidence central

The official K344 syllabus includes application, analysis and evidence-based evaluation. Both papers last 1 hour 30 minutes and contribute 50% each. Paper 2 uses a case-study insert; all four questions must be answered.

The practical implication is simple: practise reading for facts that change a decision. Naming the business in a generic paragraph does little if its circumstances never affect the reasoning.

A tutor can use short fictional cases to teach this process before moving into a full paper. That makes the reasoning visible without overwhelming your child.

Find the objective and constraint

Consider an original practice case about a small bakery deciding whether to buy equipment or hire another worker. The bakery has limited cash, demand is uneven and some products need careful finishing.

Before discussing advantages, ask what the business wants to achieve and what limits the decision. Greater output may be useful, but the ability to afford the change and maintain quality also matters.

A clear answer explains which case facts are relevant to each option. Your child should not invent a large cash reserve or guaranteed demand when the question does not provide it.

Explain the consequence of each option

Buying equipment could increase capacity for suitable tasks. However, the purchase may create a cash-flow pressure, and extra capacity has less value when demand is low. Each point needs a link to the bakery’s circumstances.

Hiring may offer flexibility or support careful finishing, but wages are an ongoing cost and suitable staff may need training. The answer should explain the consequence rather than simply label an option “expensive”.

When numerical information is provided, use it carefully. A calculation can support a decision, but your child still needs to interpret what the result means for the business.

Choose and justify a priority

A recommendation should identify the preferred option and the most important reason for choosing it. In the fictional bakery case, preserving limited cash might outweigh a potential increase in maximum output.

The competing option still deserves consideration. Explain why its advantage is less decisive under the stated conditions, or identify a condition under which the recommendation would change.

There may be more than one defensible practice answer. The teaching goal is a recommendation that follows from evidence and reasoning. A memorised ending cannot settle every case.

Check transfer across different businesses

After feedback, use a contrasting fictional business with steady demand and ample finance. Ask whether the same recommendation still makes sense. Your child should notice that changed evidence can change the priority.

Bring a recent case-study answer to a consultation. Ask the tutor whether the difficulty lies in selecting facts, explaining consequences, comparing options or reaching a justified decision.

At home, try one question: “Which fact was most important to your recommendation?” A clear response helps you see progress without requiring another complete written case study.
