ActiveSG Punggol Pool in Rain or Lightning | What to Check Before You Go

If you plan to swim at ActiveSG Punggol during unsettled weather, check the pool’s regular availability and be prepared for a temporary closure. ActiveSG’s website lists planned closures. ActiveSG says that list does not cover sudden closures such as those caused by bad weather.

If staff clear the pool or an open area because of lightning, thunder or another hazard, leave it as directed. Ask staff where to wait and whether they have any update before deciding to stay. Admission can resume when staff determine it is safe.

  • Check planned closures and current pool availability before leaving home.
  • Allow for a temporary interruption when storms are nearby.
  • Follow staff instructions about leaving the pool and where to wait.
  • Ask about your particular pass if the swim cannot go ahead.

Use ActiveSG’s closures page for maintenance and other planned interruptions. Check MyActiveSG+ for the venue and pass. The ActiveSG closure FAQ explains the difference between published closures and short-notice weather changes.

If you have a narrow time window, check again close to departure and keep the rest of the outing flexible. A pool may have been available when you made the plan and then close while you are on your way.

What to do if staff clear the pool

Leave the pool promptly and follow the directions given on site. ActiveSG’s facility rules explain that staff regulate admission during hazardous conditions. Wait where staff direct you and check before returning to the water.

For a family outing, choose an agreed meeting point and keep children with the accompanying adult. If you have a lesson booked, check with the instructor about its status before assuming the regular schedule applies.

Check your pass before leaving the venue

If you bought a pass but did not enter, ask staff how to handle it. If you already scanned in, say so when asking about the applicable terms. Have the pass details, venue and time ready. Check the conditions for your particular pass before buying a replacement.

Can I get back in if I leave to wait elsewhere?
