Which Clinic Fits What You Need

You are due for a mammogram

Go to Punggol Polyclinic, one of the SingHealth polyclinics with mammography. HealthHub suggests a mammogram once a year from 40 to 49, and every two years from 50. If you have breast implants, screening is done at designated hospitals, at the same fees.

You are due for a cervical screen

HealthHub’s schedule for women aged 25 and above who have ever been sexually active: a Pap test every three years from 25 to 29 if results are normal, then an HPV test every five years from 30. A Healthier SG GP can do it in the same visit as your other screening.

Period problems, fibroids or menopause

See your GP or the polyclinic first. SKH’s O&G clinic treats fibroids, cysts, endometriosis and menstrual disorders, and handles menopause, hormone therapy and osteoporosis. It refers some conditions to KKH, including gynaecological cancers, fertility treatment such as IVF, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and abnormal Pap results needing colposcopy.

You would like a private gynae close to home

Thomson Women’s Clinic at Waterway Point opens until 8pm on Tuesdays and Fridays, which helps if you work office hours. Astra Women’s Specialists is right next to Oasis LRT; call to confirm its hours.

You or your daughter want the HPV vaccine

The vaccine is recommended for females aged 9 to 26, and girls in Secondary 1 and 2 are vaccinated free in school. From 1 January 2027, the HPV9 vaccine joins the national immunisation schedules, according to MOH’s announcement of 2 October 2026. SKH’s O&G clinic also lists HPV vaccination.

How to Book a Mammogram at Punggol Polyclinic

  1. Check you are due. Aged 40 to 49 with no mammogram in the past 12 months, or 50 and above with none in the past 24 months.
  2. Check your Healthier SG status. HealthHub lists a $0 mammogram for eligible Singapore Citizens enrolled in Healthier SG. Our preventive health and Healthier SG checklist explains enrolment.
  3. Book. Call 6536 6000 (weekdays 8.30am–5.30pm), call the polyclinic’s mammography line on 6718 2094, or use the online Mammogram Appointment Booking form on SingHealth’s radiology page. Online replies take three to five working days.
  4. Bring your cards. NRIC, plus your CHAS, Merdeka, Pioneer Generation or Public Assistance card for subsidised rates.
  5. Go to Oasis Terraces. The polyclinic is on Level 2, beside Oasis LRT.
  6. Follow up. If you are called back for more tests, go, and ask what the next step involves and when you will hear back.

Screening Costs and Subsidies

  • Healthier SG screening at a CHAS GP (cardiovascular risk, cervical and colorectal screening in one visit, plus one follow-up consultation): Pioneer Generation $0; Merdeka Generation $2; CHAS Blue or Orange $2; other eligible Singapore Citizens and CHAS Green $5.
  • Mammogram at selected polyclinics: $0 for eligible Healthier SG-enrolled Singapore Citizens, per HealthHub; Pioneer Generation $25; Merdeka Generation $37.50; other Singapore Citizens $50; PRs $75.
  • Public Assistance cardholders get the same subsidy as the Pioneer Generation.
  • HPV vaccine from 1 January 2027: MOH says Singapore Citizen children will be fully subsidised at CHAS GPs and polyclinics, Singapore Citizen adults get means-tested subsidies of up to 75%, and MediSave can be used.
  • No application needed: MOH says Healthier SG screening needs no application. Book through the Health Appointment System, as the HealthHub screening FAQ explains. Questions: 1800 223 1313.

One note on timing: MOH’s Screening Test Review Committee published refreshed recommendations for breast, cervical, colorectal and lung cancer screening in February 2026. If you are unsure whether your interval has changed, ask your doctor at your next visit.

Neighbour’s Tips for Women’s Health in Punggol

  • Book the mammogram early. The online form takes three to five working days to reply, so do not leave it until the week you have free.
  • Screening is for women without symptoms. If you feel a lump or notice a change, see a doctor rather than waiting for your screening date.
  • Use the late slots. Thomson Women’s Clinic opens until 8pm only on Tuesdays and Fridays, and is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
  • Bundle your errands. Oasis Terraces has the polyclinic and Astra under one roof, beside the LRT. Our Oasis Terraces guide covers the building.
  • Plan for weekdays at SKH. Its specialist clinics run Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm.
  • Set reminders. A phone reminder for “mammogram due” or “HPV test due” beats trying to remember which year you last went.
  • Go together. Book with your sister, neighbour or mum and go on the same day. It is easier to keep an appointment you share.

If It Is Urgent or Out of Hours

  • Emergency: call 995 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.
  • SKH’s A&E and gynaecology: Sengkang General Hospital’s A&E is open 24 hours but has no inpatient obstetrics and gynaecology. Patients may be transferred to KKH after they are stabilised.
  • KKH Urgent O&G Centre: open 24 hours at Basement 1, Women’s Tower, for acute gynaecology problems and pregnancy problems before 22 weeks. See KKH’s Urgent O&G Centre page.
  • Pregnant and unwell: our pregnancy care page explains where to go at each stage.
