Yamaha’s studio at Plaza Singapura has a GC1 grand piano by the hour, straight down the North East Line at Dhoby Ghaut.
How to Book a Piano Tuning at Home
- Note the details. Write down the brand, whether it is an upright or a grand, and roughly when it was last tuned.
- Choose one-off or a package. Yamaha’s two-tuning package is only for pianos tuned by a Yamaha-certified technician in the past year. Otherwise, start with a one-off tuning.
- Book on a weekday. Yamaha’s service centre takes bookings by phone, WhatsApp or online form, and is closed at weekends and on public holidays.
- Clear the piano. Move photos, plants and books off the top, and give the technician room to work.
- Be home and ask questions. Ask whether anything else needs attention, such as sticky keys or pedal noise.
- Diary the next one. Put a reminder in your phone for six months’ time.

Cristofori piano rental: from $100 plus GST a month, short or long term, with delivery, set-up and bench included. Deposit and minimum period are not stated, so ask. Cristofori’s tuning prices are not on its tuning page, so ask for a quote.
Swee Lee guitar repairs (selected): restring only $25 for acoustic folk, non-locking electric or bass, $40 for classical; set-up with restring $75 for the same three types; neck and body cleaning $40; acoustic bridge lift reglue with set-up $250; full refret with PLEK $650.
Yamaha Practice Studio: $80 an hour including GST, one-hour minimum. It is for non-commercial practice or performance only, with no teaching of private students and no food or drink. A booking is confirmed only after full payment.
