For Punggol parents considering the Childminding Pilot, ECDA lists three eligibility conditions: the infant must be a Singapore Citizen, be between two and 18 months old, and not be enrolled in an infant-care centre.
The pilot offers an additional infant-caregiving option. Meeting the eligibility conditions does not confirm a booking, a particular childminder or a service location in Punggol.
Check your infant’s circumstances with an appointed operator before making plans. Ask whether it can serve your required location, dates and care needs; do not assume a general pilot announcement establishes local availability.
CHAPTER 1 OF 3
Check the published conditions
Use ECDA’s Childminding Pilot eligibility FAQ as your starting point. For an age-boundary question, give the operator the actual date of birth and intended care dates.
If your infant is outside the pilot conditions, ECDA says you can ask operators about alternative options. Clarify that such an alternative is not automatically the funded pilot arrangement.
CHAPTER 2 OF 3
Clarify existing infant-care enrolment
ECDA’s FAQ on infant-care enrolment says infants enrolled in infant-care centres are not eligible for funded childminding under the pilot.
If you are considering changing arrangements, ask how the eligibility position applies to your intended dates. Do not cancel an existing place before understanding the proposed replacement and its terms.
CHAPTER 3 OF 3
Confirm the arrangement, not just eligibility
Ask about the actual setting, caregiver, schedule, handover and booking terms. Keep the operator’s response so you can distinguish confirmed details from options still being explored.
Find the current appointed operators through ECDA’s pilot information. This guide does not identify a confirmed Punggol vacancy.
Information checked on 18 October 2026. Confirm current eligibility, availability, fees and booking terms with the appointed operator.
