Singapore citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for the Adult Monthly Travel Card under the published criteria. Getting the card and buying the monthly pass are separate steps; simply holding the card does not provide unlimited travel.
For a Punggol commuter, count workdays, remote-work days, leave and regular weekend trips before deciding. The pass excludes Express, Premium Bus and City Direct services, and SimplyGo states that unused pass value is non-refundable. A heavy travel week is not necessarily a typical month.

Review whether each regular bus journey falls within the pass coverage. Train and basic-bus coverage does not mean every paid transport service is included.
If your commute uses a service outside coverage, include that separate cost when comparing options. Ask SimplyGo or the operator if the service category is unclear.
Apply and activate before purchasing
Read the card application page for required documents, fees and channels. SimplyGo says the concession card must be activated and valid before a pass can be purchased.
Allow time for application and delivery if needed. Do not plan unlimited travel on the assumption that an application acknowledgement is an active pass.
Choose and verify the start date
Read the start date and validity period carefully before confirming purchase, especially if you already have a pass. Save the purchase result.
If your plans change, consult the published non-refund terms rather than assuming unused days can be credited back. Recalculate before buying the next pass instead of renewing solely from habit.
