Digital Stamps in Punggol: Use SingPost’s App for Eligible Local Letters

No physical stamp at home in Punggol? SingPost’s Digital Stamp lets you buy postage in its mobile app, write the generated code on an eligible envelope and post the letter. SingPost currently describes the service as a six-month pilot, so check availability and purchase terms in the app.

The Digital Stamp is for local Basic Mail: letters, postcards and printed paper items in a paper envelope for delivery within Singapore. It is not an overseas postage option or a parcel label, and it does not provide tracking.

Before posting from Punggol, choose the correct category for the packed envelope, copy the code exactly and check its validity. SingPost’s page lists separate trial-promotion conditions and ordinary code-validity terms; use the expiry shown for the actual codes you purchased rather than assuming one rule covers every offer.

Check eligibility before buying

Read the current Digital Stamp page and app instructions for the permitted contents, size and weight. A small object inside an envelope should not automatically be treated as eligible paper mail.

If the contents or dimensions fall outside the service, compare another SingPost option. The absence of a physical stamp is a convenience issue, not a reason to use unsuitable postage.

Write the code clearly

SingPost instructs users to write the code in dark blue or black ink at the envelope’s top-right corner, where a stamp normally goes. Follow the current app instructions when using your purchased code.

Check each character against the app before posting. Keep the destination address clear and avoid confusing the postage code with the recipient’s postal code.

Check purchase and expiry details

SingPost says codes are single-use and describes a minimum purchase per denomination. Read the checkout information and promotion conditions before deciding how many to buy.

Keep unused codes in the app and note their actual expiry. Do not share an unused code publicly or try to use the same code on two envelopes.

Post without expecting tracked delivery

The service page permits posting through posting boxes, post offices or SingPost@MyBlock slots. Check the chosen posting point and current collection information for your route.

A digital postage code is not a tracking reference. If you need delivery-status information or signature evidence, select a suitable service before posting instead of expecting those features from Digital Stamp.
