For a Punggol weather forecast covering the next two hours, open MSS’s official two-hour nowcast and find Punggol in the town list or map. Read the valid period and update time before using the weather symbol.
The Punggol symbol describes weather affecting or forecast to affect the town during that two-hour period. It is not a forecast for your entire day or a promise about one precise stretch of the waterway.
For a Punggol walk, errand or cycling trip, check again near departure and keep a shorter alternative ready. If the forecast shows thundery showers, MSS says that indicates an imminent lightning risk; use the separate lightning information as well.

Use the list view if the map is difficult to read on your phone. Confirm that you are looking at Punggol rather than a nearby town, and note when the displayed forecast period ends.
Avoid relying on an old screenshot in a family chat. A forecast can be accurately copied yet no longer cover the time of your outing.

MSS’s FAQ describes radar rain images as a near-real-time view of rainfall location and intensity. That is a different question from what is forecast over the next two hours.
As practical preparation, ask both questions: what is expected during the outing, and what is happening around the route now? Do not read a rain image as a guarantee of how long a shower will last.

If your outing extends beyond the nowcast period, plan a point to check the latest information again. Keep the return journey in mind rather than checking only the departure time.
For a family outing, agree where to meet if the outdoor portion is shortened. A clear indoor alternative makes a change of plan easier.

Use the Punggol lightning-alert guide for the location-specific information service. Do not treat a short break in rainfall as proof that thunderstorm risk has ended.
