If your preschool has charged the full fee without applying your subsidy, ECDA directs you to contact the preschool to clarify and rectify the issue. Centres handle their financial procedures independently.
For Punggol parents with an approved outcome, send the billing team the relevant invoice and approval information through a private channel. Ask which subsidy and period it applied.
A full-price first bill issued before approval is a different situation. Check the application stage and invoice month before concluding that an approved deduction is missing.
CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Compare the relevant records
Place the invoice alongside the approved outcome. Check the child, centre and billing period so you are comparing the same account.
Keep payment receipts available if you already paid. An estimated subsidy figure is not the same as an approved amount.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Ask the centre to reconcile the bill
Follow ECDA’s missing-subsidy billing instruction. Request a clear explanation of the deduction shown.
A useful question is: “This is my approved information and this month’s invoice. Can you explain why the subsidy is not reflected?”
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Clarify any proposed adjustment
If the centre identifies an error, ask how it will correct the account and when you should expect confirmation. Do not assume every centre uses the same adjustment method.
Keep the reply and revised invoice if one is issued. Ask about the payment deadline while the matter is being checked.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Check the resolved account
Confirm that the final explanation identifies gross fees, applicable deductions and the amount payable. Keep other charges separate.
If the figures remain unclear, follow up on the specific unresolved amount. Do not deduct an assumed subsidy from the bill without an agreed payment arrangement.
Information checked on 12 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions and the guidance given for your child’s application.
