For Punggol O-Level students who accepted a Poly EAE offer in the 2026 exercise, the published withdrawal window is 14 September to 16 October 2026, ending at 11.59pm Singapore time. Withdrawal must be submitted online through the Poly EAE portal.
An accepted EAE offer remains conditional on meeting the admissions criteria. However, students who keep the offer and meet those criteria cannot use JAE to shop for another polytechnic course or switch within or across polytechnics once the offer is confirmed.
Before withdrawing, discuss course fit and your alternative route with the school ECG counsellor. Read the official Poly EAE procedure and check that you are using the instructions for your applicant category and exercise year.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Check the offer and applicant category
Find the accepted course, polytechnic and acknowledgement in your application records. This guide’s dates concern the 2026 O-Level student exercise for the AY2027 intake.
ITE students and working adults also have Poly EAE routes, but families should not assume every acceptance stage is identical. Use the instructions attached to the actual application.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
Compare staying with withdrawing
List what you learned after accepting: the course modules, practical work, possible careers and day-to-day learning environment. Distinguish a real mismatch from nervousness about an unfamiliar course.
Then examine the alternative honestly. Withdrawing does not reserve a place in a preferred JC or diploma. Consider the admission requirements and whether the student would be comfortable with other realistic outcomes.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
Submit withdrawal through the portal
Use the official portal route before the published deadline. Follow the displayed steps and check that the withdrawal action is completed, rather than simply leaving a form open.
Keep any confirmation and review the application status. If a technical problem prevents completion, contact the official support channel promptly and retain the error details; a support request alone should not be assumed to complete withdrawal.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Understand what happens if you keep the offer
Temasek Polytechnic’s official admissions guide explains that O-Level EAE confirmation requires a net ELR2B2 score of 26 or better and the diploma’s minimum entry requirements. Check the requirements for the actual offered course.
If the admissions criteria are not met, the conditional offer can be revoked. That is a different situation from voluntarily withdrawing during the published window; seek guidance on the applicable later admissions route.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
Protect the examination preparation plan
Whether staying or withdrawing, identify the subjects that matter for the next route. Keep revision anchored to specific weaknesses and remaining examination demands.
Record the decision and the next administrative step so the issue does not consume every study session. For later cohorts, check the revised admissions framework and current exercise dates instead of carrying forward these 2026 O-Level rules.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official and institution instructions for your own admissions exercise.
