SIT Punggol Venue Hire | Ho Bee Auditorium, Seminar Rooms and Booking Costs

SIT Punggol Campus accepts short-term venue hire enquiries through the application form linked on its Facilities Booking page. Options include Ho Bee Auditorium, seminar rooms, lectorials and event spaces. External requests are considered case by case, with SIT students and staff receiving priority.

Ho Bee Auditorium is listed at 824 people for Levels 2 and 3 together, or 546 people for Level 2. Published weekday event hire is $960 per hour for the full auditorium, with a minimum two-hour block. Setup, rehearsal and teardown have separate published rates.

For a smaller meeting, SIT lists seminar rooms with different capacities and prices. Choose the expected attendance, room layout and date first, then request availability and a written total quote. Submitting an enquiry does not confirm the venue.

Start with the event you need to run

Write a short brief before choosing a room. Include the event’s purpose, audience, date options, estimated attendance and whether guests will sit for a presentation, move between displays or work in small groups.

A larger capacity can help with a substantial audience, but the layout also matters. Ask the venue team how the space supports your plan, including registration, refreshments, wheelchair access and movement between sessions.

For a seminar, explain whether you need rows of seats, tables for discussion or a presentation followed by group work. Confirm the approved arrangement rather than treating a published capacity as a guarantee for every layout.

Compare the published event rates

The following selected rates are from SIT’s booking page. The weekday column excludes public holidays; the weekend column includes them. Event hire has a minimum two-hour block. Ask whether GST and any additional services are included in the quotation.

Budget for the whole booking window

A two-hour talk is rarely the whole time an organiser needs. Include access for equipment delivery, registration preparation, sound checks and clearing the room after guests leave.

SIT publishes separate setup, rehearsal and teardown rates for many spaces, also with a minimum two-hour block. For the full auditorium, the weekday figure is $340 per hour. Ask how each period applies to your proposed schedule.

Prepare a timeline with staff arrival, guest arrival, event start, finish and final clearance. Send it with the enquiry. This helps the venue team quote the real use of the space.

Keep supplier costs separate in your budget until the written quotation confirms what is included. Ask about microphones, projection, technical support, furniture, catering arrangements and any required personnel.

Send a complete venue enquiry

Use the Short Term Premise Hire Application Form linked from the official page. Include the organisation and contact person, preferred dates, alternative dates, audience size and the event brief.

Explain any unusual requirement early: a live performance, recording, exhibition structures, external catering, loading needs or an event involving children. Ask what documents or approvals the venue team requires.

Keep the reply, quotation and booking terms together. Before advertising the venue to guests, confirm the approved space, access times, payment requirements and arrangements for changes or cancellation.

An enquiry should leave room for the team to suggest a better space. If the first choice is unavailable, a smaller room or a different date may still support the event.

Give guests an exact arrival instruction

Once the booking is confirmed, put the campus block, level, room and registration point on the invitation. Include the contact person for someone who cannot find the venue.

For organisers, a site visit can help reveal the walking route, registration area and delivery arrangements. Ask permission to inspect the booked space rather than assuming unrestricted access.

Check the official SIT Facilities Booking page for the complete rate tables and enquiry form. Guests can use our SIT campus arrival guide to plan the MRT or LRT journey.

Finish your planning with one confirmed schedule shared by the venue team and suppliers. It should make clear when the organiser can enter, when guests arrive and when the space must be handed back.
