Punggol Library at One Punggol lists both its bookdrop and reservation lockers as available 24 hours. These services can help you return library items or collect a reservation outside the main library’s opening hours. The library address is 1 Punggol Drive, One Punggol #01-12, Singapore 828629.
For collection, wait for NLB’s ready-to-collect notification and check that Punggol Library is the collection location. A reservation request is not confirmation that the item has arrived. Follow the instructions and collection deadline shown for your reservation.
For returns, check your loan record after using the bookdrop and keep track of the due date. The 24-hour facilities do not mean the main library or staff-assisted services operate overnight; NLB lists staff-assisted services from 10am.

Check your notification before leaving home
Open the reservation details and read the item title, collection library and collection deadline. If you reserved several books, check each one separately: they may not all become ready at the same time.
Make sure you can access the collection instructions before travelling. Keep your phone charged and have the account or identification requested by NLB available. Use the details in the current notification rather than an old screenshot.
Choose a collection time that leaves room to resolve a problem before the deadline. If you expect to need help on your first visit, a time when staff-assisted services are available may be more convenient.
Collect the item indicated by the system
Follow the locker screen and NLB notification instructions at the collection point. Check the books you receive against the reservation you came to collect before leaving.
If a locker will not open, an item is missing or the instructions do not match what you see, note the time and any error message. Seek NLB help rather than repeatedly attempting to force the locker.
When collecting for a family member, confirm the authorised collection process with NLB beforehand. Do not assume your own account can collect every reservation made under someone else’s membership.
Keep private account details secure. If you ask another person to help, share only what is needed under NLB’s permitted collection procedure.
Return books and check the loan record
Before setting out, count the items you intend to return. Check that bookmarks, papers and other personal belongings have been removed. For an item with several parts, make sure the components are together.
Use the bookdrop according to its displayed instructions. If the facility is unavailable, follow any posted alternative arrangements and contact NLB when needed.
Afterwards, check the account’s loan list so you know which items remain outstanding. If an item you returned still appears and you need assistance, provide the title, return location and approximate return time.
Keep the due date in your calendar even when the return point is open all day. A convenient return facility works best when you know which books need to go back.
Separate a collection trip from a library visit
NLB’s published main library hours are 10am–9pm, with an early-access period from 9am–10am. Main library public holiday closures and selected holiday-eve early closing still apply.
An overnight locker collection or book return should be planned around those particular facilities. Do not add an exhibition visit, borrowing from the shelves or staff consultation unless the corresponding service is open.
If you want to combine collecting a reservation with choosing children’s books, plan the trip during normal library hours. That gives the family time to browse and ask for help.

Use the official Punggol Library page for facility hours and notices. NLB’s Loans and Reservations page leads to account management and borrowing information.
For a fuller visit, our Punggol Library guide covers the library’s other spaces. A study seat booking is a separate arrangement from collecting a reserved book.
Keep the ready-to-collect message until collection is complete. It is the most useful starting point if you need NLB to check a reservation.
