For overnight visitor parking at a Punggol HDB carpark, check whether the carpark has the Night Parking Scheme and whether your chosen lot is available to visitors throughout your stay. Paying a parking charge does not make a season-parking-only lot available to a visitor.
HDB’s published short-term charges cap motor-car parking at $5 per night, from 10:30pm to 7am the following day, at carparks with the Night Parking Scheme. The cap does not apply to carparks with peak-hour parking charges. Do not assume every Punggol carpark offers the same overnight arrangement.
Before a late dinner or overnight family visit, read the carpark entrance board and the restriction signs beside the lot. Check the end of your visit as well as the start: a space available when you arrive may have a restriction that begins while your vehicle is still there.

Three separate questions before parking
Confirm the carpark, the parking scheme and the individual lot. A correct answer to one does not answer the others. For example, finding a carpark with overnight visitor parking does not establish that every marked space inside it is a visitor space.
Ask your host for the carpark identifier rather than only the residential block number. The nearest vehicle entrance may not be the one suggested by the home’s address, and nearby carparks can have different arrangements.

Reserved lots are often identified by red or red-with-white markings and supplementary signs. Read the stated times and days rather than relying on colour alone. If your stay crosses a restriction boundary, choose a lot that remains available for the whole intended period.
An empty reserved space is still reserved during its restricted hours. Do not interpret the number of vacant spaces, or another visitor’s parking choice, as permission. If the signage is unclear, use a clearly permitted alternative or check with HDB.

Separate parking before the night period, during it and after it. A visit that starts before 10:30pm can include a daytime component. A car still parked after 7am can enter another charging period.
Read the applicable charges before estimating the cost. This guide explains the published scheme; it does not calculate a bill for an unidentified carpark or promise a single price for a visit spanning several charging periods.

Confirm how this carpark takes payment
Check whether payment uses an electronic parking system or another specified method. Follow that carpark’s instructions rather than assuming an app session is needed everywhere, or that passing a gantry resolves every parking restriction.
If you use a parking app at a carpark that requires it, confirm the actual carpark number and intended duration. Paying for a nearby carpark is not equivalent to paying for the place where the vehicle is parked.

Before entering the estate, agree with your host where to park and how to walk to the residential block. Photograph the level and identifying sign after parking so that finding the vehicle later is simple.
For a family carrying bags or travelling with older relatives, check the pedestrian access route too. Use a permitted drop-off arrangement where appropriate, then park in a valid space; do not leave the vehicle obstructing an access route.

If the visit becomes an overnight stay
Recheck the lot and payment arrangements as soon as the plan changes. An afternoon parking decision may not fit an overnight stay. If necessary, move the vehicle to a permitted space while there is still time to do so calmly.
For Sunday visits, read the Punggol free-parking checking guide. The free-parking scheme and overnight parking are separate questions, and neither overrides a lot reservation.
