Punggol Food Hygiene Complaint | How to Report a Food Safety Concern to SFA

To report a food hygiene concern at a Punggol food outlet, use the Singapore Food Agency’s official online feedback form. Identify the outlet and describe what you actually observed. SFA advises consumers not to patronise establishments where they encounter poor food safety practices.

For a Punggol restaurant, coffee-shop stall or takeaway food complaint, prepare the incident date, time, exact address and food purchased. A mall name alone can leave several outlets in question; add the shop name and unit or stall identifier.

The SFA food safety reporting form accepts attachments and provides a case-reference field for follow-up. Save your submission reference. This guide explains how to organise a clear report; it does not establish that any particular Punggol business has committed a breach.

Identify the correct outlet

Write the name as shown on the receipt or storefront. For a delivery order, distinguish the restaurant supplying the food from the platform carrying the order.

A useful note might read: outlet name, building, unit, purchase time and order number. Keep location details together so the reader need not piece them together from several screenshots.

Describe the observation plainly

Separate direct observation from your interpretation. For example, explain where an object was found and when you noticed it, rather than claiming a cause you cannot establish.

Avoid broad accusations about every meal or every employee. One precise account is more useful than a long narrative mixing the incident with unrelated service frustrations.

Prepare attachments

The checked form allows up to five attachments, each no more than 3 MB, with a combined limit of 10 MB. Supported formats include PDF, JPG, PNG, MP4 and MOV, as well as TXT and JPEG.

SFA asks users not to put URLs in the case description. Where an online listing matters, upload a screenshot showing the relevant link instead. Check that the image is readable before submitting.

Keep a follow-up record

Store the submission reference alongside your receipt, original photographs and a short chronology. Use the existing case ID when providing additional information about the same submission.

Keep a separate note of any request you make to the seller about the transaction. A safety report and a request to resolve your purchase are different conversations; avoid assuming that submitting the form settles both.
