To recycle e-waste in Punggol, use NEA’s current collection-point map and check the accepted items at the particular bin or counter. A battery-only bin, a battery-and-bulb bin and an ICT collection point accept different things; an e-waste label does not mean every electrical appliance belongs there.
NEA identifies ALBA as the operator for regulated consumer e-waste and also lists other recycling programmes for items outside that collection scope. For a phone, printer, battery, lamp or small appliance, match the actual item to a suitable programme before carrying it to a Punggol collection point.
Do not put batteries into general-waste or blue recycling bins, and do not leave oversized e-waste beside a collection bin. For a large appliance replacement, ask the retailer about the relevant takeback arrangement before delivery rather than assuming it will fit into a neighbourhood bin.

Identify the item before choosing the nearest bin
Write down what you have: a mobile phone, printer, loose battery, light tube, rice cooker or another item. Separate accessories from the main device so you can check whether the same route accepts both.
Size matters as well as category. An item accepted by a programme can still be too large for a particular bin opening. Read the current point’s instructions rather than forcing it through or leaving it outside.

Open NEA’s collection-point map, find a convenient location and inspect its programme and accepted-item information. Confirm access with the host venue if you are making a special trip.
Save the specific location details rather than only the name of the mall or estate. A collection point can be inside a building, so its access may depend on that building’s hours. This article does not promise a particular bin is available at every Punggol shopping centre.

For a working phone or computer, follow the manufacturer’s process to back up what you need, remove personal accounts and erase your data. Confirm that your backup works before deleting the original.
If the device cannot be accessed, seek appropriate technical help about data protection. Physical recycling and secure data removal are different tasks. Do not assume a publicly accessible bin provides a personalised data-erasure service.

NEA lists free one-for-one retailer takeback for unwanted regulated products of the same type on delivery of a replacement. Confirm the intended item and collection logistics with the retailer before the delivery date.
If you use another removal service, clarify its accepted items, access requirements and charges. The Punggol bulky-item guide explains the council booking process; confirm how it applies to your appliance.

Take it away and find another appropriate route. A full bin, rejected item or inaccessible venue does not make the surrounding floor a collection area. Contact the programme operator when the listing and on-site instructions differ.
For damaged or unusual batteries, ask the collection operator for handling and acceptance instructions before transporting them. Do not dismantle a device or attempt a battery repair merely to make it fit a recycling route.

Keep a short list of items awaiting a route check, and group the accepted ones for a manageable trip. Label the intended destination so nobody mixes them with general recycling.
For ordinary packaging, use the Punggol blue-bin guide. The useful habit is matching each item to its route, not sending every unwanted object to the same bin.
