Punggol residents changing their Singpass mobile number can use the Singpass app, the Singpass portal or a Singpass counter. Register a number you own. Changing the SIM in your phone is a useful point to check the number recorded in your account.
In the app, go to Settings, then Update Account Details. Verify with biometrics; the app redirects you to the portal’s Update Profile page, where you can change the mobile number.
If you cannot use the app, try the portal’s Password Login and its available identity verification options. For in-person assistance, use the official counter directory and bring your original NRIC or FIN card.

Check whether the number changed
A replacement handset and a new phone number are different changes. Write down whether you kept your existing number, obtained a replacement SIM or switched to a different number.
Before starting, check that the new number is active and belongs to you. Keep the old and new numbers available for reference without posting either in a public help request.

Update through the app or portal
The portal also accepts app login: scan its login QR with Singpass, then select Update Profile. Password Login uses your Singpass ID and password, followed by Face Verification or SMS OTP.
SMS OTP goes to the registered number. If that number is inaccessible, consider the other offered route or seek official assistance rather than repeatedly requesting codes you cannot receive.

Prepare for counter assistance
Follow the counter directory linked from the official mobile-number FAQ. Check the selected counter’s location and hours before travelling from Punggol; a nearby public service venue should not be assumed to provide every Singpass service.
Take your original identity card and explain which number you can currently use. Make a short note of any failed verification step so you can describe the problem clearly.

After updating, revisit your account details to confirm the intended number appears. Keep any confirmation for your own records and remove screenshots containing sensitive details from shared family chats.
If you have other accounts that use the old number, make a separate list and check each service’s update process. Do not assume one successful Singpass change has completed every contact update.
