For international students seeking Primary 1 admission to a mainstream school, the first step is MOE’s online Indication of Interest. This route applies to children who are neither Singapore citizens nor permanent residents; Punggol families should use the international-student instructions.
For the 2026 exercise, the Indication of Interest window ran from 19 May 2026 at 9am to 25 May 2026 at 4.30pm. That window has closed. Corporation Primary’s official notice says families who did not submit it cannot register in Phase 3.
Parents who submitted interest should monitor their email: the same official notice says notification about whether a place is offered comes by the end of October. Admission is not guaranteed. Keep your submission record ready and follow the instructions in the actual outcome.

CHAPTER 1 OF 5
Which registration route applies?
Check your child’s citizenship or permanent-resident status before using a registration guide. International-student Primary 1 admission has its own instructions, separate from the citizen and PR registration phases.
Use MOE’s international-student P1 page as the operational reference. An older sibling’s school or a Punggol address should not lead you to assume eligibility for another route.
CHAPTER 2 OF 5
What if I missed the May window?
The official 2026 school admission notice explains the consequence for Phase 3. Do not treat October as a fresh opening for the May Indication of Interest.
If you missed the window, ask MOE about your child’s circumstances and review other schooling arrangements. An enquiry should help establish the available route; it should not be treated as an accepted late registration.
CHAPTER 3 OF 5
What should I check while waiting?
Locate the acknowledgement, confirm which email account was used and check that inbox, including its spam folder. Keep a record of any official correspondence.
If you need clarification, explain the exercise year and submission details. Avoid sending repeated applications merely because another family has already received an update.
CHAPTER 4 OF 5
Does indicating interest guarantee admission?
No. Si Ling Primary’s official guidance states that international-student admission is not guaranteed and priority goes to citizen and PR children.
Keep practical alternatives under review while waiting. Compare their curriculum, admission conditions and family budget using each school’s own information.
CHAPTER 5 OF 5
What happens after an offer?
Read the outcome carefully and complete the stated registration steps. Ask the admitting school what documents and reporting arrangements are required.
Then work through transport from Punggol, school costs and any applicable immigration arrangements. Plan around the offered school and its instructions rather than a preferred school that has not offered a place.
Information checked on 11 October 2026. Follow the current official instructions for your child’s exercise year, eligibility and individual application.
