For a childcare withdrawal mid-month in Punggol, ECDA says a child who meets the minimum one-day attendance requirement and has paid the full month’s programme fee is eligible for the full subsidy for that month.
If programme fees are pro-rated, the subsidy is pro-rated according to the centre’s fee calculation. ECDA requires a minimum 25% fee payment for subsidy eligibility.
Flexi-Care is an exception: pro-rated subsidies are not available, and the full month’s fee must be paid for subsidy eligibility. Confirm the programme type before estimating your final bill.

CHAPTER 1 OF 4
Ask how the programme fee is charged
Before confirming withdrawal, request the centre’s calculation for the final month. Keep notice-period charges, deposits and the programme fee clearly identified.
Do not calculate a subsidy solely by counting days left in the month. The fee arrangement matters to the applicable calculation.
CHAPTER 2 OF 4
Check the attendance and payment conditions
Refer to ECDA’s mid-month withdrawal guidance when discussing the final account.
Ask staff to show which fee basis it used and what attendance is recorded. Meeting these conditions does not replace any other applicable eligibility requirement.
CHAPTER 3 OF 4
Do not confuse childcare with kindergarten
KiFAS has different withdrawal rules. See the kindergarten mid-month withdrawal guide if your child is in kindergarten.
Avoid applying a childcare pro-rating example to a different scheme. Ask the centre to identify the scheme and programme on your child’s account.
CHAPTER 4 OF 4
Get a written final breakdown
Request an itemised explanation of programme fees, subsidy and other charges. Keep the withdrawal confirmation and payment receipts together.
If something does not match your understanding, ask which part of the calculation accounts for the difference. Resolve the specific figure with the centre rather than assuming an automatic refund or carrying a subsidy to another preschool.
